I really thought at that price that I was getting something skimpy and not significant. Wow was I shocked. Really it has a magnet on it so I just pop it onto my microwave side in my cabinets so when I need it it's there. All you do is press the button in the center hold on and it shows the current temperature. For that cheap price it's a shocker get it

Works great. I check my meats and poultry with this whenever I use the airfryer (I don't leave it in there, I take the tray out to check the meats and poultry). Works great. Meal saver for sure! I think my husband has used it for the grill, too, but again, don't leave it in there, just use it to make a quick check. Highly recommend!

A very inexpensive instant read thermometer that gets the job done. I recently upgraded to a Thermopen instant read thermometer that is about $100. However, I used this thermometer for a few years before upgrading and to be honest, it's almost as good as the Thermopen. The main difference between this thermometer and the Thermopen: 1) Reads about 2-3 seconds slower, 2) Has buttons on the outside that could allow water into the electronics, 3) Digital Display can only be read in 1 direction. So, unless you need a thermometer to read within a second, or you regularly submerge your thermometer or read your thermometer vertical and horizontal, you don't need the $100 Thermopen. This is all you need and it is near perfect!

I usually don't write reviews, but I left this thing outside in the grass on the ground all winter long and assumed it was dead. I picked it up out of the grass after months of getting rained on, snowed on, and much more and the thing still worked. And it still works. I use it all the time. Incredibly well built and highly recommend!

Nothing to dislike about this item. A must for grilling and smoking. Highly recommend it.

The temperature is accurate. I took my own which for me is 36.2 and it was right on the mark. It is about twice as fast as my last thermometer. My flatmate agrees too, that it is quicker, in fact it was him who first pointed it out.If it means anything to anyone, I am a professional cook, and am impressed by the product so far.

This thermometer broke within the first couple of uses. It was reading very different temperatures than the meat actually was, and doesn't seem to work properly at all. I do enjoy the design of the item, I like that you can move the metal rod but unfortunately it does not work well.

I use this thermometer when I cook steaks or beef roasts on the stove or over the BBQ. It helps cook them evenly and prevents me from guessing if it's cooked properly. I love that it's magnetic so I don't misplace it since it's on my fridge.

I used this thermometer quite a bit with my air fryer and it worked great for the better part of a year.I really like the big screen and that it lights up. It's easy to use and you can switch between °C or °F, I cannot attest to the accuracy as this was my first thermometer I've ever owned.However recently I encountered an error, about a month ago. rendering my thermometer useless.So only a few days before my warranty was about to expire, I messaged them directly on amazon and they got back to me within a few days.They honored their warranty and have sent me a brand new one.I haven't received the new one yet but I'm very happy with the customer service.

I bought the Smak Instant Read Thermometer to replace our old straight one when the battery cap broke while putting in a new battery. Our old one was spot on with precise temperature readings so we were wondering how accurate this new one was. We compared it to the old one (with the battery cap temporarily taped back on!) and the Smak is spot on, too. Better than the old one is the "speed of the read" which was two or three seconds which was great! Also the sensor rod folds into the handle for storage which is convenient. The digital read-out is very clear and can be augmented by the built-in back light if desired. Oh, yes. An extra battery was included with the one we got. It uses the ubiquitous CR2032 battery that so many of our devices take which we always have on hand (unlike the old thermometer that used a less common LR44). Good price, too.
