Consider this...
This light is an odd sort of device. It's quality is okay at best and it does function as advertised. However, there are a few quirks that are worth noting...1 - If you decide to charge it using solar energy, the directions state that a charge takes 200 hours. That's roughly the equivalent to not being able to solar charge it. 2 - The directions. These are circa 1970's level oriental instructions. The kind of stuff comedians would make fun of on the Carson show. You sort of learn from them but mostly figure it out on your own. 3 - The off switch doesn't turn it off. By touching the switch and holding it down, a fifth - unexplained color (green) appears. After an hour or so it sort of fades away.I gave it 4 stars because it's only $16. For $20 I'd give it three, for $25 I'd give it back.

Great Camping Light/Lantern
I have to say I am impressed with this light. Full disclosure the first one of these I bought had a dead battery upon arrival but the company sent out a replacement quickly. The light is more than bright enough for most camping needs. I did a length test and the light was still shining after 12 hours. It had gotten a bit dimmer, but still bright enough to see what you are doing in a tent. One of the things I think that is pretty cool about this light is that the rubber housing for the light is actually glow in the dark. This makes it easier to find when it's not on. I have yet to try the solar charger as it's been cloudy here, but I will update the review when I get a chance to do that.

Not a bad little lantern
Overall I really like this product, but I do have one major complaint, the solar panel is not strong enough to to charge it in a day. I have purchased other solar powered lanterns that do charge that quickly so I never expected this would not. Other than that though it is a great little lantern. I love the versatility of hanging it, or having be on the table top. The different light levels are nice, and I like being able to switch from white to soft light. I use this in my camper van on a regular basis and it has stood up to a lot of abuse.

Love this Lantern!
This little lantern really puts out a lot of light. I really like how portable and compact it is. It's perfect for camping. The various light options are great depending on your needs. I actually did my own home test of this lantern. First, I gave it a full charge. Then I set it on the warm light setting, and it was still on after 9 hours! It was my bedtime so I really don't know exactly how long it took finally go out, but 9 hours is more than enough for my needs. I am so pleased with this product that I'm going to buy more as Christmas gifts.

Don’t buy
Nice options but the charge did not last long. Within a few weeks it completely stopped working and wouldn’t charge.

Super long battery life
We use this as a night light in space with no convenient outlet. It lasts all night on the low setting and I only need to charge it twice a week. Plugging in to charge takes 2-3 hours. I haven't used it outside yet so I don't know how well the solar charge works. I imagine that it would need to be in the sun all day to recharge after a night of use. I bought one for my son, who frequently camps and it's light weight and compact size seems perfect for tent camping.

Exceeded my expectations - affordable and functional
This is an awesome little lantern and I love that it's solar powered. It was just what we were looking for for our camping trip. Our kids now use it to play with in their rooms and for reading. There are multiple light settings which helps if you want to use it as a nightlight and the fact that it is collapsible helps change the brightness even more. Keep in mind that to turn it on, you need to hold down the power button.

Lights up the campsite pretty well
The light stayed pretty bright most of the night. I let it burn at 150 luminous all night. It worked great. It stayed lite longer than what the instructions said. I have not tested the solar charging, but it says 200 hours to charge with solar, so I’m not sure I would depend on charging with solar.
