Intimidating...
Okay. I read the reviews, did some research and decided to try this as my first cup. Tired of pads and uncomfortable tampons I thought the idea of this sounded great. Arrived quickly, everything like it should be. But here is where the problem lies....And I didn't see any other reviews like this so maybe it's just me, but this was so complicated to use! It took me 20 minutes and a Google search to figure out how to get the thing in correctly. It did not come with Instructions. You may think it's pretty self explanatory but trust me, there are questions....Anyway, the size said I would need a large being over 30 and having kids. Well I was intimidated by the size...thanks to Google I learned to fold it. Got the thing in (finally) and was feeling okay. It just wasn't really the most comfortable thing for me. Again, maybe just me. Decided to take it out and this was where it got scary. Honestly thought I was going to have to go the ER to have it removed. I could not get a hold of the stem part. Like I could hold it, but there was no gripping it to pull. Couldn't reach the rest of it and legit started to panic. I am not exaggerating it took me 30 minutes, a prayer, and lots of deep breathing to get that sucker (literally sucker because it freakin vacuums itself in there) out! Never again. This just isn't for me. Maybe it was me, maybe the product, but I felt like these reviews needed some real honesty! Good luck!

Great cup, just not for me.
I'm am experienced cup user and normally use the Lena cup. I wanted to try out another one to see if there was a better one for me! I loved the blue color and sleak design. When I got it though, it wasn't really a fit for me. I don't want to retract any stars from this product, because it's honestly a really amazing cup. It just didn't work for me. The stem was a little long, but no problem, I trimmed it. I did find that the stem was too flexible and difficult to grab onto to remove it. I usually got around this by simply pinching the base of the cup, release suction and pull out in the shower to bypass any mess. Even with removing the stem, I did find the cup sat a little too low in my vagina. It seemes like I could almost feel it. What I really didn't fancy about it was how soft the lip of the cup was. It slipped a few times unfortunately. My Lena cup was harder in this aspect and I knew that it'd stay. The pro to the soft lip, however, is that it didn't hurt at all when removing the cup whereas the Lena cup can sometimes hurt a bit if removed in a weird position. Also, another difference, and pro for this cup, is the slow sloping design of the bulb into the stem. This design prevents pee from getting trapped around the bulb, to later be released in your panties. I found urine trapping to be an issue with the Lena cup, unfortunately. Anyway, to wrap things up, I still use this cup as a back up if necessary. Like I said, it's really a good cup, but it depends on what kind of cup you're looking for. My friend actually really likes this cup, but it's not for me.

Extremely painful, don’t buy!
Is extremely painful to put in and out. Substantially worse than a cardboard applicator. Our use cardboard applicators to cut down on plastic waste. I thought buying this one plastic item would overtime be more environmentally friendly than continuing to use the tampons, even though the ones I u substantially worse than a cardboard applicator. Our use cardboard applicators to cut down on plastic waste. I thought buying this one plastic item would overtime be more environmentally friendly than continuing to use tampons. I am extremely disappointed with this product. Now I have generated more plastic waste to damage the environment and my efforts to not hurt the environment. There is absolutely no way putting up with the anguish of pulling this out of me and putting it in would be worth it. Do not buy this product! You will hate it!

Great product!
A game changer! I'm 43 and my periods are very heavy, way more than in my 20's or 30's...So I was wearing disposable underwear to sleep! It was messy and uncomfortable. Last month I had my period twice! I was stressed and apparently it influence my cycle...I used this cup for the first time because I had a heavy flow for weeks and I had it in my drawer but didn't have the courage to try it until then...I was spending too much so finally tried it, the first time was difficult to take out but you figure it out if you don't freak out. I'm converted! I can forget a out the period for 12 hours on. Heavy days and leakage is minimal. I recommend this product. It's the only cup I tried so far and it works great, but it would be nice if it comes with a case or bag, that's the only thing. I purchased the large size and I never gave birth.

IC is a big yikes
So, I have both Endometriosis and Interstitial Cystitis, tired of wearing pads with my overly heavy periods and not able to wear tampons I decided to give the cup a try. On the surface, it works great, catches the blood, stays in place, and does what it says on the tin. However, and this is no fault of the product itself, trying to use this with IC was like having a hot poker through my bladder.Long story short, these are great if you are a woman who has heavy periods (seriously, that part was amazing, it felt so much better than a pad) I say give this a try, but if you have IC skip it. I mention this because I never saw anyone mention this being a problem on any of the many sites I have read on using a menstrual cup, I didn't run into any mentions of it being a problem until I went to a IC subreddit.

First cup is a success!
This is my first ever cup. I got a size small. I finally got sick of the issues we all have with tampons. You know what I'm talking about! This cup fits very well and no leaks. Very easy to use. I've never had kids and am a fairly small lady, this cup fits well! Switch over, you'll be glad you did! I usually use super or super plus tampons for my period if that helps anyone. I rinse this out twice a day but it never fills all the way. Sorry if that's tmi but I'm just trying to help!

Would not recommend
Unfortunately I would not recommend this product. This brand of the menstrual cup is a very seemingly “hard” plastic. Not sure how else to explain it..the diva cup brand cups are a softer material, making the folding for insertion much more comfortable and easy. This brand is a very thick material which makes it much more difficult for insertion, almost impossible.I will be sticking to the diva cup, and would recommend others doing the same.ESPECIALLY, if you are trying this specific cup as a first try.

Very rigid
I usually buy Blossom brand menstrual cups, but they didn't have black available anymore. So I thought I'd try this one! At first glance, I was very encouraged that I'd love this cup because of it's shape and the longer nubbin. But it was very rigid, uncomfortable to insert and remove. Usually I can forget that I have my cup in, because I can't feel it at all. But with this one, I could feel the long nubbin all day long. It was very irritating. I'll be keeping this cup it as an emergency backup, but don't intend on using it again for daily use.

Less mess, More capacity, less comfort
The pull tab/“tail” is hollow which i see as a certain hygienic concern so I cut it off before I used the cup. The cup is more sturdy which great for reducing messy removals. It also holds about 10ml more which means I have less leaks, especially through the night. The draw back is that I can feel slight pressure when I use it, it’s very slight (almost unnoticeable) and totally worth the advantages on heavy flow days.

Would not recommend...
There was a seam on the edge that I didn’t notice before using (as seen in the picture). It scraped the inside of my vagina, was painful in and if it shifted was painful, when it was taken out, was painful. I was not able to use it long and haven’t since. I was uncomfortable for about three days after use.

Good value, works great
Was happy to find a reasonable priced menstrual cup that works as well as the more known and more expensive brand names. I have bought this one twice.
