Great Battery Operated Lantern
Love this lantern! Everything about it is great. The different light strength setting is amazing, and the battery life is also wonderful. I used it straight for 6 (give or take a few days of not being used here or there) months in my classroom and didn't have to replace batteries!

Great prop
I bought this to use as a prop in a film project I was working on. Despite its plastic construction, it looks quite convincing as an old lantern from a distance, and the dimmable light is definitely a plus.

I bought this to use as part of my son’s Halloween costume. I saw the horrible reviews on Amazon, but I figured it would only have to last one night. I took it out of the box upon its arrival and put batteries in it. When I turned the switch, the light came on. I then shut it off and left it on the counter and when my son got home, he turned it on and it worked. But later that night he tried to turn it on again, and it would not work. I tried different batteries with the same outcome. I will be sending it back.

Both cool and very useful!
This lantern is just so cool! I originally bought it for carrying with my kids for a bit of light safety on Halloween night, and it worked perfectly. But now it's just useful to have around in case of storms or power outages or whatever, and I can keep it out on the shelf all the time because it's actually really attractive! Definitely recommend.
