The instructions to install were strictly for mounting onto a electrical junction box. It comes with a cord! I didn't understand why every said it had to be mounted to a junction box. And I couldn't mount it flat against a wall because of the copper ground screw that stuck 1/2" out of the back of the mounting plate. Finally had to have my son look at it and he removed the ground wire and screw and told me to just mount it, plug it in and it would work. I did. It did. And now I am pleased with it. I am using it as a picture light and it works really well for the 32" wide picture. I'd give it 5 stars had it come with 2 sets of directions based on use.

My bathroom was soooo dark! Only an overhead light made shaving ny head a pain in both the figurative and literal sense with all the nicks & cuts! (I use a safety razor and there's not a lot of room for error!).This light is PLENTY bright. The odd reviews that state otherwise mustn't know the angle can be adjusted. This thing is better than a southern exposure window on the sunniest day of the year!My dome is gonna be smooth as a crystal ball now that I can finally see!I will admit, the extra illumination has brought to my attention that I'm not as handsome as I'd been led to believe. But at least I can see gruesome mug, now!

This product is super easy to install and is very bright. My hope was that I was going to have those hotel lights that you can pretty much see everything in the mirror. Unfortunately, while easy to install and bright, I can never get the right setting to get that perfect light and see all of the imperfections that I need to fix.It could absolutely be that I’m just terrible at installing lights and picking the right spot to hang this, but I almost feel like this needs some sort of attachment to block some of the brightness so that you do not have as many issues with shadows and things of that nature, while looking in the mirror

I got compliments on this light every time I have guests over. I rent an apartment and the lighting in the bathroom is very dull. I needed a bright light without causing too much damage to the walls. I’m more than satisfied with this purchase!

This was perfect to place above our large mirror in our bedroom for better lighting however the plug switch is weirdly shaped in the back. Its not flat so it doesn't stick well to the wall. After a few tries we got a heavy duty velcro to hold the switch in place on the wall next to the mirror and that worked great.

I’m a lover of a true white light and this one delivers. For the makeup lovers, you’ll appreciate this as you can lay diffuser (or any thin cloth) on it and there you have your own softbox.Installation was fine. There are a variety of holes with several small and 2 that are larger traditional sized screws. The two larger ones come with wall anchors so that’s nice in case you don’t have your own.The light is sturdy but light enough that I only drilled the two larger screws with their accompanying wall anchors.The neck of the light has a limited range in mobility facing onwards towards the wall it’s kounted upon to somewhat in front towards the subject.If you’re at a mirror, the rotation is just fine. Wire is white. It can camouflage well.The complementary string lights were darling. Thank you

I was looking for a bathroom light and this one is not it. The design was exactly what I was looking for the the light is not very bright. It would make a great night light or hallway light where brightness isn’t important.
