I love this collar! It has been very effective.; we’ve had several quiet, peaceful days with Problem Barker #1. This is something that never happened before.The alert beeps are fairly loud and easily get the dog’s attention without scaring him. The barking has only gotten to the point of setting off the vibration twice.The only drawback to this product is minor: if another dog barks while stands very close to the dog wearing the collar, it will occasionally set off the collar. It doesn’t happen often, though.I’m planning to order another of these collars for Problem Barker #2!

Collar works as described... has stopped his constant barking when he “thinks” we should be playing.... he’d play 24x7 if it was possible! We didn’t want to crush his angelic excited little spirit, but we did need to get his attention.

I have 4 dogs and they tend to get a little noisy at times, especially if someone rings the doorbell or even just pulls into the driveway. I was hoping that using this collar on the ring leader of the barking episodes, it would work on the whole pack. I put it on the one that usually starts the barking episodes, and it worked like a charm on him, he was distracted by the noise and stopped barking to look for where the noise was coming from.... however, I quickly discovered that the device would go off not only when he barked, but also when any of the other dogs barked and were near him. That really didn't seem fair to me... or him! Seems like the device is pretty sound sensitive! I do like that it will beep only on the first few barks, and then it will do a beep and vibrate combo after several barks. But I also noticed that after letting my dog wear it all day, that while in the beginning the beep and vibration were a good distraction, he quickly got used to the beep and vibration and it no longer had the desired effect. I'll try it on one of the other dogs today, but I think this product would actually work best for a single dog household since it does go off when dogs nearby bark and not only the dog that is wearing it.

The company DogRook offers very good customer service, the stars given reflect the product.This is one of those things that is dog dependent. It's bulky so to suggest that it's for small dogs is irresponsible. That being said I tried it on our unusually large chihuahua. It is bulky and it eats batteries better than it shut the dog up. didn't seem to have much affect at all. The body of the unit holds the vibration and the prods just act to make the dog uncomfortable, the vibration didn't really pass through them. Vibration was pretty weak as well. Don't buy this unless you are using prime, you may want to send it back as I will be.

My 9 year old, 30 lb. rescue has a lot of terrier behavior, including yapping. The kind that goes on for a while when guests arrive. The collar worked immediately and she is now much calmer and settled...with or without the collar. I only used it for a few minutes, but then she is a quick learner. Now just seeing the collar or my 'no bark' is a reminder.I was a little reluctant to try it because she had a negative reaction to a 'sonic' one I'd tried previously. My impression is that the sonic ones are cruel and hurts their ears...she became more fearful of sounds after that.This one was just a gentle beep, which got her attention. There are 2 prongs that vibrate next to her throat of she continues to bark.We are all happier with this product.

This worked within minutes, straight out of the box. The battery cover is a little tricky to remove, but you don’t need a screwdriver (hooray!). The vibration is like how your cell phone’s vibration feels - I tried it on my arm to be sure. I have 3 dogs; I only use this for my Westie. He barked once, heard the warning (cocking his cute little head to the side), barked again a few seconds later and heard the sound again, then one mor bark a few seconds later. That third bark activated the vibration - and that was the last bark. I don’t leave it on all the time; he only needs to hear it beep once to stop his barking. In fact, sometimes if he’s in his cage, I just lay it on top and it beeps if he barks in his cage! One beep and he’s quiet for hours. Suggestion: order extra batteries now, since they’re hard to find in stores.

I am a day sleeper due to me working graveyard shifts. I have two beagles and their bark is definitely wakes me up. Obviously when my wife saw the collar arrive she though it was a shock collar. So I tested it on myself and it was true to the title of a humane collar trainer. The very next thing I did was put it on my oldest beagle. A few minutes later he barks once and immediately stops. He looked really confused but he actually stopped without my intervention. The beep tone is very close in pitch to my whistle when getting the dogs attention. The most barks in a row he lets out is two before stopping. The younger beagle heard the collar from my oldest and he stops as well. Hahaha I find it all to be very comical but at least I can finally sleep without having to give my boys a shock.

I help run an animal rescue and this has helped with the dogs' barking. Even if one is wearing it the other dogs hear it and they all quiet down. It's that loud! (All 25+ dogs are in the house. There is 12 on the main levels and the rest are in the lower level).It would be better if it was rechargeable. However, unlike some that have batteries, this one DON'T drain the battery fast!!!! Plus they send 2 batteries with the collar!!!It does teach them not to bark as loud or as much!!!If we could afford more, we would get more.
