My third sight pusher. This one is a keeper!
This is a review worth reading if you need a pistol sight pusher.I have 2 other highly rated sight pushers. One $100+. Changed out enough stock sights that I refused to bang on them with a hammer & delrin anymore. Upgrading to tritium night sights? You don’t want to bang in this with a hammer. Can cause permanent damage. Hammering in place not a very accurate way either. My other sight tools work ok but both have issues & some slides won’t fit quite right. If you’ve used a sight tool before you know proper holding of the slide makes a big difference. So this ATG is very well made. Good fit and finish. Seems well thought through. Example: doesn’t just hold slide from sides. Nice round screw plate on bottom so you can adjust to the height of your slide. About a 3” round plate big enough to give great bottom support. The sides screw in to hold slide. Delrin inserts so no steel contacting your slide. Holds sides very firm. The Felton inserts are not perfectly flat, so will work on slides other than perfectly flat Glock slides. Then they go a step further and provide a 4th plane of support with a top screw (also with delrin insert) that adjusts down on top of your slide. Last the heavy duty steel pusher when properly aligned will move the tightest site. You carefully set this bad boy up and it will remove and reinstall your sights. I’ve used it now on Glocks, 1911’s, CZ75 & a SIG micro 9. Worked well on all. Probably some slide out there that won’t fit, but it would be a 1%-er. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.PS: no instructions included but intuitive setup. If your buying a sight pusher you’ll figure it out. By the way it comes with a nice zippered case with urethane foam cutout to fit tool. Extra delrin protection inserts. They’ve though of almost everything. For $60 you can’t go wrong.

Good Sight Pusher
I've owned this 5 years now and it continues to work well on my Glock pistols. It works even with very tight fitting sights like Heine Straight 8 sights. For what this cost it pays for itself the first time you use it since you don't have to pay a gunsmith. Every use afterwards you are essentially paying yourself!

This works
I used this first on my Smith & Wesson Performance Center Shield Plus. The rear sight was very tight. I did not place the device in a vice, as I don't have one. The rear sight was so tight I could not get the sight to move by just turning the devices turn bar. It was just to tight. Yes I removed the set screw all the way out. Yes the devices height was set above the slide. However the sight mover turn nut is hexagon, so I was able to grab it with some channel locks. It was still slow but it did move the sight. The plastic inserts worked fine and the guns slide was not marked. The turn nut was marred a bit but not damaged.I then used the device on my 1911 Commander and this sight was able to move using all most no force at all. Put the set screw back in and worked fine. This does not come with instructions, but there are videos on You Tube. It's pretty straight forward, but I would watch the video anyway, just takes a few minutes to review.I would recommend.

Excellent value - a must have for installing Trijicon HD rear site on Glock slide
Very well made, and the carrying/storage case was an extra plus. At $44+ - felt like I got my monies worth.Recently purchased Trijicon HD night sites and read the reviews on the difficulty of installing the rear site. Since I do all of my own gun work (by no means an expert either) I decided to give this product a try, rather than chancing damaging the tritium-phosphur site tubes using the good old punch method or taking to a gunsmith to install.Already had removed the Glock OEM plastic rear site easily using a plastic punch without damage. The Trijicon (metal) rear site fit VERY TIGHT. Even after several passes of the bottom of the site over 1200 grit sandpaper to remove any high spots, the fit was perfect but tight. Very high quality Trijicon fit and finish.Using the NcStar tool, the slide was cinched down on all four surfaces. Advise using vinyl electrical tap on the side clamp surfaces, the surface of the moving slide of the tool that makes contact with the site, and on the top side of the pistol slide itself to avoid making any potential marks or scratches on the slide during the installation process. A drop of oil in the site channel (wipped across with my finger) also helpful. Take your time and check all settings before wenching the movable tool slide! The NcStar tool worked like a champ! The Trijicon rear site was so tight. I proceeded by holding the NcStar tool secured in a vise, and used a 15mm socket (with ratchet). NcStar was thoughtful in offering this alternative method to turn the movable slide, rather than the provided turning handle. Made installing easy - went on without a glitch. Centered the rear site as needed. No damage to the site or slide.Highly recommend this product over costly site tools costing 2-3 times the price, taking to your gunsmith, or using the "punch" method.

Great buy! It worked for me
Could not get the rear site on my Hellcat to budge. With the help of this tool I was able to get it to break free. This tool worked perfectly! I did have to take my optic off, but I believe that is the way it is intended to work.Looks to be very well made. No plastic.
