SPOILERS!!! but need them to make my point
It lost two stars for editing and repetition. I love the story and characters over all.. However it contradicted itself which was a distraction. In Chapter 9 'Sangar Khogani was the only survivor when his family was wiped out by a missile from a drone'. In Chapter 23 His younger brother pops up to replace him as the leader of the local Taliban.Jake and Morgan hooked up two Christmases ago resulting in a child which he doesn't know about. in July two1/2 years later the child would be almost 2 not almost 3,I know this sounds petty but if you're putting in time and age she would not be Jake's child.I am currently reading three of her other books (yes I read several at a time which I why I find the distractions annoying) and I'm finding the same repetitions in those as well.

One of the best Lindsay has ever written!
I LOVE this series of books, written about the Afghan conflict, and in my opinion this is the best one so far. Lindsay McKenna obviously does her homework and research, her writings show it. I think this novel especially shows the horrible personal price our warriors pay when they do go 'down range,' into mortal, violent combat. Every American ought to read about it, to better understand the people coming home with PTSD. Lindsay does a good job of explaining the politics of that entire region, including the influx of Taliban from Pakistan, bankrolled by wealthy donors living elsewhere. The price paid in blood by the Afghan people is horrendous. The price paid in blood by OUR people is horrendous! Read this book.

Lindsay McKenna writes an excellent story. She explores the softer side of a relationship, and all her books are about relationships, no one night stands for her!! It is interesting that she portrays the men as talkative and freely sharing in their emotions as well as their thoughts, it certainly gives us women hope that we might one day actually find a man that can do all of that. But in the mean time we can read Lindsay's books and hope!! LOL!!!

Amazing!
This book was so good. I haven't read a book this captivating in a long time. So real and emotional, i found myself crying numerous times. The story, action, and love were perfect. I have read the first book in this series and it was just as good. I loved that Morgan was the daughter of Jim and Cathy, and the heroine of this book. This one really touched me and will stay with me a long time. I've got the next 3 or 4 book's in this series saved and cannot wait until the next release. Thank you Lindsey for writing such amazing books..

Absolutely great read
This is another great book from Lindsay McKenna. She never fails to diappoint. I love that Morgan Boland took after her mother and became a darn good Marine. Ms McKenna is showing how women can hold their own in any situation; at the conference table or in combat. My heart aches for any of those military people sent to Afghanistan to fight an enemy who seems to have people to expend. She really tells the plight of the small villages and what they are up against. Again another good military read.

Love forever
The life of a seal is dangerous but one that when faced with can be something that consumers our every being. Not every person that strives to become a Seal can survive the extreme training necessary to overcome the overwhelming demands required. Love has a way to enter our lives to endure the many tests required to trust one another to seek a true and lasting relationship. Over a period of nine years with emotions and events not really being known to each other, love prevailed. A most unusual ending, but a happy one.

Down Range
I have read Lindsay McKenna's books for years and this series is as awesome as the rest of her books. Looking forward to each and everyone of The Shadow Warriors books. thank you for keeping me entertained all these years Lindsay. As a Military Mom and sister, granddaughter, plus sister in law to 5 military men and a mother in law to a military man, I really love the way you write your stories about how wonderful our Military men and women are.

Excellent gripping story
Excellent action story with romance. Serious timeline issues though e.g. (Spoiler. She has 2 yr old daughter going on 3-doesn't tie up with when they were together.) 1hr meeting at 9am, flight at AAFB 11am but they go eat, say flight 11am but will meet at noon, 2 decades before, during a conflict, her parents met. Morgan is 29! Book written 2013. Conflict 1987. After Morgan was born. Her mother, a corporal, blamed for all that was wrong in WLF. A NCO wouldn't be held liable. I understood childrens bow legs were caused by rickets, a vit D deficiency and not scurvy. These issues irritated me but I still feel a good book. Loads of field action. The wadi scene is about the best I've ever read. Electrifying. My heart was in my throat. Magnificent.
