Aunt Bessie's Sweet & Tasty Carrot & Swede Mash, 500g (Frozen)

I'm not a great Aunt Bessie's fan in general but I love this frozen carrot & swede. Low carb, tastes almost as good as fresh, quick & easy to cook. When I'm too tired to cook a proper meal & all the cleaning up that follows.... I stick the whole bag in a pan with a little butter and seasoning, leave it to simmer and cook through, put it in a bowl, grated cheese on top and voila, a really filling, fairly healthy, guilt-free, cheap dinner. Love it and do it a few times a week, it's my new favourite 5 minute go to.

Love this product- it's on my list weekly. Good texture, not watery and a wonderful buttery taste.

A mixture of carrot and swede.It comes in defined lumps, but if you microwave it, it reduces into a mashed mush. (Make sure to cover with clingfilm when you microwave, you want to keep the moisture in).Taste wise, it's very pleasant. Creamy with a stronger carrot than swede flavour.The only real downside is the amount. You really don't get much.What you put into a dish will halve in size once cooked.The packet realistically contains enough for 3 reasonable sized portions.I hope you found this review helpful.

This is easy to heat up and makes a great side dish or just on its own.

Quick & easy to use.. just microwave it. or can be warmed in a pan..

This carrot and swede mix isn't bad. I use it if I am on a diet as it's free on a well known diet plan but there isn't much flavour. It is very wet and doesn't season well.I put it in a pack lunch box and microwave it with the lid off and then put it in a sauce pan to try and cook off the excess water. It will do to go on the side of a roast dinner but far too wet to be a topper on a cottage pie.I buy it every now and again but it doesn't have hardly any flavour and no texture at all.
