Lysine helps my mouth, generally. I take extra when I have chapped lips or if I have a cut in my mouth...it really seems like things heal a little faster when I take this supplement. I've been taking this supplement for many years and have noticed no side effects at all. I had previously used this same brand of Lysine in 1000mg format, but the individual pills were just too big for me. I love the 500mg size, they are much easier to swallow and work just as well.

Packed well and easy to swallow

I take lysine to prevent cold sores when I’ve eaten something I know causes them, or to make them not get big and to go away quickly if I do feel one coming.These are tablets though which are harder to swallow for me. I ordered because it said capsules. They’re not.I’ve used NOW brand often and these were packaged nicely and received quickly.

SO, I only bought these because I heard that they "may" help with losing weight. I am not a doctor nor do I know if it does but I figured I would try it. So far I am down a couple of pounds.
