I had read recommendations about the book. Good pictures quality and quantity. However some of the content was duplicated. I was disappointed with the lack of variety and styles given it is a book about garden styles, it felt short in variety and scope.

Wow! I love just sitting and looking at this book! Wish I had more than one backyard, I see so many ideas I love. ThisIs like wandering through your favorite garden store times 10. The format works well, breaking down pieces that work with a certain look. I am going to be spending a lot of time just enjoying the gardens pictured!

Surprisingly informative and stimulating. Especially welcome is the design element of the book, with round-cropped photos that offer quick visual icons for the subject. With the wealth of color and shape, these kinds of repeated elements keep a richly textured book from being visually chaotic and help readers rapidly identify possibilities for their own creations. But more than this, there are quite useful reference guides (stone masonry basics, step-by-step DIY projects, resources for materials and information) along with some show-cased gardens that are both delightful and achievable by anyone with some creative moxie and not a lot of cash. Published in 2014 and still very relevant.

I was looking for landscape design ideas and inspirations. This is very well put together in lots of categories that are not usually taught in design classes. A real treasure to have available for ideas. Good visuals with lots of photos.

Chaotic layout, ugly type print, and a jumble of ideas. This one will collect dust on my bookshelf.

I love the layout and the way it's easy to find what I like & from there new ideas that go along with what I like & have already got. And since I'm fairly new to gardening - I love going through the pages & all the pictures to see where I might go with it!!

I purchased this book years ago and find myself constantly referring back to it. There are so many great ideas and beautiful photographs to inspire before, during and after the growing season.

Book purchased as Christmas gift, so no review of book as yet. It looks attractive to my eye and hopefully will inspire my daughter!
