It works as advertised, is very simple to use. It's great!
This is Super Easy to use. You just have to plug it into your OBD II port, and then it turns on. The menus are easy to use and quite self explanatory. I didn't need the manual to be able to navigate to the part where you can access the data related to the check engine light. It's also very easy to get to the live data, which showed me that even though the RPM gauge on the dash was showing 1,000 RPM - the data in the Seekone showed that the RPM's had dropped all the way down to 700! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tool! It's well worth the money. Even though you can get the data through a chain auto parts store for free, I would still recommend you buy one of these. I say this because at the auto parts store, you only get a microscopic window into your vehicle's status but cannot show you things like the idle speed changing by 30%+++. There are a lot more data points that are much more relevant when you observe them for a period of time which can only happen at home.

Very nice OBD2 scanner that's actually worth its price.
For those having trouble upgrading, I found it simple although it didn't actually describe what to do very well at all. I simply used logic and it worked. Try the following steps and see if it works for you. 1 - Close Uplink. 2 - Unplug the scanner. 3 - Hold the Down arrow (or any key other than power, if there actually is a power key). 4 - While holding a key down, plug in the scanner. 5 - Scanner screen immediately comes up stating it's in Upgrade Mode. 6 - Open Uplink. 7 - Wait for Internet connection established. 8 - Check Upgrade 9 - If it finds new version (mine came with 2.0 and needed update) it will automatically start the process. 10 - Let it finish. There are several steps but it all went smooth without a hitch. I added a couple screen shots as reference. Didn't think to catch previous steps screens but this should be good enough as example. Regarding the device itself: This is an outstanding OBD2 unit for the money, period. Good speed, excellent automation, features and scan support. Examined many devices before selecting this one. Glad I chose it. Already using it to data log so I can analyze recent upgrades I made after rebuilding my cooling system in a 2000 Wrangler 4.0 Sport 6L. Additionally, I used the live data stream watching the engine coolant temperature. Once it reached precisely what I wanted I set my electric fan controller to kick on. Worked perfectly. It's now keeping the Wrangler around 210 on the dash gauge, 204f (exactly) at the block. It keeps it there rock solid in a 96 degree southern roaster with 102 heat index. The fan itself is a black magic extreme w/shroud. Damn great fan! Anyway, my old ride doesn't offer a ton of diagnostics but what it does have is what I was after. No doubt more modern vehicles will have a huge amount of data to analyze for those needing or wanting it. Worth the price. If you need an OBD2 scanner with a lot on offer at what I consider an excellent price this unit will likely deliver for you. Ride on!

Straight forward, east to use
I had a throttle body sensor issue that was putting my GMC Yukon in limp home mode even though it was just a sensor that was failing. I purchased the Seekone reader to 1) diagnose the issue and 2) clear the error condition when it happened. I'm not a mechanic so I'm not totally clear on all the things I could report on but this showed me the error codes that proved what my issue was but more importantly, allowed me to clear the error so I could continue down the road until I had time to replace the sensor. This was easy to use, quick to setup and plug in, and straight forward on how to reset your codes. For those that are thinking they could get this to clear the check engine light before they got their car inspected, don't bother. That also clears the emissions history which has to be read for the inspection (at least here in Texas). If you clear the emissions data, plan on driving around for a couple of days before you can get it inspected (hopefully the check engine light stays off during that time).

Great bi-directional scan tool for the money!
I own almost a half dozen scan tools at this point. This one is one of the least expensive I have bought, but does a LOT for that money. It is the best value of all of my scan tools. I got it to read my oxygen sensor data and give me live data on my catalytic converters to help me diagnose a P0430 code, a very common code (along with its sister code for the Bank 1 cat) and a reason for failing inspection in my state. It di d the job perfectly. It is large, easy to read, very rugged and has a nice long cord to go to the OBDII port under the dash. For $60, this is a fantastic tool. I do wish it would read live data from the cylinders so that I could diagnose the persistent misfire I have (I was hoping the cat problem was causing the misfire, but apparently not). But the only code reader I have owned that would do that cost over $100, worked only on German cars and stopped working after about 3 years. 5 stars for SEEKONE!

GOOD PRODUCT + EXCELLENT SERVICE
I bought this for my 2001 Ford Truck with 269,000+ miles on it (not bad for 17 years old) and it keeps going. Anyway, several times I have had the engine light come on and had to take it to the shop to hook up a different OBD Scanner to get the code. The Seekone SK860 DOES A LOT for more for less cost! It's competition cost over $200+ to come close to what this does. You connect it, turn your key on and it shows the car/truck, VIN #, and click on "Diagnostic" and it will check out the issues. I had issues it found on the truck, which turned out to be correct--so it worked great. The following day, my wife's car, engine light came on, this time I had issues, and did not get the graphs and everything else I got when I used it on the truck and to say the least, I thought I was now screwed. BUT, I told SeekOne the issue and Seekone sent me a NEW ONE! Thier service is GREAT! SO, now the truck and wife's car are both running good but if any check engine light comes on I will NOW be able to check it out at home, hook it up to the computer and check their library to get all the info I need.
