No need for new wifi or laptop just yet!!
I have a very old laptop with Windows 10, it is working ok but i just need something a little more. So on a recommendation, i got this wifi adaptor to help. I already have WIFI built in to my laptop which is a lower speed so I added the EXE for the application USB WIFI into the Window 10 StartUp. It now gives me a little extra and it works every time the PC starts up. If you’re not sure how this is done use the web and find it on YouTube as the instructions can be a little confusing but at the same time its super simple, and i really needed simple! I can now keep using my old faithful laptop for a while longer and dont need to get a wifi repeater as first though. A great find, would recommend :-)

I was dubious but excellent product
I purchased for my wifes Lenovo P330 Tiny as they do not come with WiFi Installed by default. I was initially dubious, and wondered if this would end up being a pile of junk.I was pleasantly surprised! If required the drivers are supplied on DVD (Which no on has these days) r you can download from a link in the product description. If you are running Windows 10 you won't need the drivers anyway, as the device worked straight out of the box.If anyone is wondering what chipset this devices is running, it's a Realtek Chip, similar to many laptops.I experience good connectivity, and excellent speeds on USB 3.0.Very pleased.

A1 love it
The media could not be loaded. Huge range and much higher speed!I thought it might be a little better than my old tplink adapter, but I was wrong - WAY wrong! It is a LOT better. My broadband provider offers a max download speed of 78 Mbps, but with my old adapter I never, ever got above 35ish Mbps.Plugged this little dual antenna beauty in and OMG.... 72.4Mbps!!!I've ran about 10 tests at different times of the day and lowest speed I got was 70.3Mbps and the fastest was 76.4 Mbps!See the screenshots and videos for yourself!

Good receiver, though has niggles.
On the whole it is a good receiver, though it can be a little ‘buggy’ and requires the occasional re-start.It is can be annoying at times but is easy to sort out, perhaps it’s my system.Have been getting speeds of 860mb and once running is pretty stable. For the price it is worth a punt.

Good but drivers not working for macOS Catalina
I bought this in 2018 and has been working very well so far but after updating my macOS the drivers no longer work.Any chance of an updated link for the new drivers (if they exist)?

Inconsistent. Always disconnects.
The adapter was easy to install and set up and worked well in the beginning. However after 1-2 weeks the adapter kept cutting out and disconnecting from the USB port and therefore disconnecting from the internet. It has to be plugged and unplugged 4-5 times to finally connect to the port. Keyboard and mouse connect fine in the USB port so this isn’t the problem. Poor product.

Great range to external garage.
I wanted to get an internet connection to a HTPC in my garage. I could not pick up signal from my router on my mobile phone in the garage but didn't want to rely on a powerline option as this would not be cost effective in the long term as I would most likely leave them turned on 24/7A hard connection to my router from in my house gets 72Mbps. With this dongle I get between 30-40Mbps in the garage this is through several brick walls and around 20m from the router. After initial set up you don't need to do anything.

Impressive wifi speed!!!
Pros: dual band (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz), high gain antennas, upgradeable antennas, support for a/b/g/n/ac.Cons: it will take up one of your USB laptop slots.Usage: I have a room where the wifi signal is very weak. Rather than buy a wifi repeater device, i tried this USB wifi adaptor. After installing the drivers on my Mac and rebooted the laptop.... i did a speedtest on the wifi speed copmparing the built-in wifi vs this USB wifi adaptor. The results was amazing. Built-in wifi was giving me a 8-9Mbps download speed and the USB wifi adaptor was giving me a 45-46Mbps download speed. Note: I was using the 5GHz N-router.Overall, i would strongly recommend this. Much cheaper than buying a wifi repeater solution!
