Aqva Hair and Debris Strainer, 1.5-Inch

I purchased this for my shower drain based on the reviews, including taking into account the size descriptions. For my particular shower, though it did not fit exactly, I realized a small o-ring would take up the additional space. With the addition of the o-ring, this strainer has been in use for 6 months, it is catching hair, there is no gap with the o-ring, and there has been no discoloration or rust of the material. It needs emptied about every 4 weeks. However that is easier than pulling the hair out of the trap with a grabber tool every 6 months.

This was perfect. Dropped right on in. I have a linear shower drain and it works perfectly. Think the ones that had problems with the fit must have the traditional shower drains. I would purchase again.

Still left room around the drain for hair to get down the drain. I like that it has no chance of getting stuck or falling down the drain. Time will tell but I would guess it will catch 90% of my wife's hair and it's easy to clean.Deducted one star since quality is lacking (my was bent) and because it could be bigger.

I don't know how to feel about this strainer. I guess it works, since it catches the hair, but I just wish there was some easier way to get the hair off of the strainer. I find getting the hair/debris off a pretty gross experience, it gets all tangled in there, and just takes a lot of pulling and tugging. Really wish that it worked differently, but I cannot complain that it doesn't catch the hair.

Well built product but there is significant gap between it and standard Acco linear drainange. although description says "Compatible with most ACO, LUXE linear drains". Hairs keep getting into drain through the gaps so not worth buying it. Besides, its advertised picture is misleading as it seems it comes in pair which is not true.

I have an ACO Hawaii square drain QuARTz by ACO 37223 Square Drain with Hawaii pattern, 6" x 6" and this fits very well inside to catch hair. Funny thing is that the hair isn't captured within the basket, it's captured along the edges ... must simply be a factor of the manner in which the water/hair flows into the drain in the first place.

I read all the reviews and some said this was too small and some were very happy with the product. I assumed they WERE shipping some wrong product before but that was now corrected. WRONG! These cups are 1 3/4", not 2" so they leave a gap all the way around. They COULD have been made properly to fit 2" U.S. PVC drain pipe, as they are described to do, but they are definitely not sized properly. DON'T BUY THIS!It drives me nuts when someone sells something that isn't what's described. It's a total waste of my time to order it, receive it, open it and then go through all the effort to return it. But, back it IS going tomorrow morning.

I like the it catches all the hair before it cloggs the swears easy to remove not to easy to clean
