I purchased this product one and half years ago.Im using this product till now. Good product. But its pricing was not good. Slightly expensive. Other 550 watt smps will sold at this price. Not value for money.

good cozy packing and excellent product
Prompt delivery, good cozy packing and excellent product. I read other reviews which said that the PSU is noisy but my experience says otherwise. It is silent and can only hear its fan if I keep my ear next to it.. Thanks Amazon!

Looks good doesn't work
Bought this Power Suppy about 8 months ago. It worked fine for 7 months but since last one month it has been having problems starting up. I have to heat it up with hair dryer to get it started.7 month life is pretty low for a product this expensive. I could have bought one from a local market at half the price and it would still last atleast one year.I would not recommend this product based on the issues related to build quality and performance.

Perfect for the casual, non-enthusaists PC gamers like me.
Pros :1. Slightly better capacitors than Corsair VS series. I think OEM is FSP for VP450P & Delta for VP450 from what I've researched, correct me if I'm wrong.2. Active PFC. In layman's term, this smoothens output with better efficiency over wider range of voltage.3. Continuous power.4. Dual rail with 85% efficiency even though it's not officially 80 Plus certified.5. Quiet 120mm fan.6. All necessary protections like short circuit, over voltage. over current protections etc present.7. Size will fit even in mini-ITX case.Cons :1. A bit overpriced.2. 6 pin PCI-E connector only. 8-pin required GPUs would require adapter.3. You might get random shutdown if connected to modified sine wave UPS due to protection mode in Active PFC.4. Only 18 Amps on each rail. So I won't recommend this for overclocking setups.5. Only 20+4 pin motherboard connector is sleeved. Corsair sleeves all their PSUs.6. Non modular.7. Power plug is designed for Type E/ F sockets i.e. no grounding pin on the plug. So buy a compatible Indian 3 pin power plug if you're worried about grounding. Conclusion :The best budget dual rail PSU as of writing this review.N.B. :1. Contents - Power cord which has two pin plug, screws, PSU.2. Connectors - one 24, 4+4, floppy, 6 pin each & four SATA, molex pins.3. I just fitted the missing grounding pin by salvaging other plugs. Just have to be careful when when removing from socket.4. You might be able to overclock just a bit but not upto potential due to current limitation on each rail.5. To know your total power requirement when buying PSU, type 'psu wattage calculator' in Google Search.Thumb rule -1. Never cheapen out on a power supply. Cheap unbranded PSUs can permanently damage your costly components when they fail.2. Always look for PSUs that have continuous power certified. Better if it comes with peak power certification. But never go for peak power only because Continuous Power = constant continuous power throughout workload , Peak Power = temporary burst of increased power for short duration only .3. Never judge a PSU's quality by its weight or good looks.4. PSUs come in different sizes as well. Take note of your case size.5. All PSUs will never give full stated watts. For budget PSUs I'd recommend subtracting atleast 50 watts, so Antec VP450P would give me a theoretical max power of 400 watt.6. Pre-plan on what devices you'll be connecting in the future else you'll run short on connectors/ power even if your setup is fine now.7. IMO for budget PSU - Single rail = better for overclocking since all current available on one rail, Dual rail = slight better protection but will have lesser amp as current distributed between the two rails.8. PSUs with Active PFC might randomly shutdown PCs if connected to modified sine wave UPS. Go for true sine wave UPS or ordinary home inverters.
