Well built, excellent fit and finish
Kudos to the manufacturer. This all wood cabinet was shipped in individual pieces in a very well designed box. Everything was as it should be. Assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. Took me almost 4 hours with a little help from my wife. This would be very difficult to assemble alone. The individual items fit beautifully into place. The assembled cabinet looks great. And it's an homage to Mad Men and mid-century modern, no? We're calling it the Don Draper Bar Cabinet.

beautiful piece!
This piece of furniture is gorgeous. It was a bit of a challenge to put together, but with 2 of us, we got it put together faster than we thought we would. We are so pleased with the overall look and the sturdiness of this piece. It is a great addition to our mid-century decor.

Very nice bookcase at a reasonable price.
This is a nice bookcase. It's made of rubberwood, which isn't used for fine furniture, but is a hardwood somewhat similar to ash or maple in terms of density and ability to take a stain. As solid wood, it's definitely a step above particle board and veneer. Anyone who examines it closely isn't going to mistake it for a vintage piece of mid-century modern furniture, but it really does look the part and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's quite sturdy, and the pieces fit together snugly and securely. Assembly is a bit time-consuming -- it took my son and me the better part of a couple of hours because there are a lot pieces to put together -- but it's not complicated and the instructions are clear enough. It looks great in our living room. All in all, we couldn't be more pleased.

Removing warnung label voids the wareanty, good bookcase for price however there are some issues
I contacted the manufacturer to tell them about the issues. They said they would take them into consideration but not to remove the label because It would void the warranty. Too late. I told them they need to put the label on the back or make it easy to remove and not void the warranty.I did not like the fact that they put a warning label on it that is not supposed to be removed because it's on the inside where you can see it. The sticker is difficult to remove. I'm going to have to get it off with fingernails and a damp cloth (do not use chemicals, it will ruin the finish). The warning label is valid because it is a dangerous tip over hazard. It comes with brackets and a zip tie to attach it to the wall which is highly recommended if you have children or pets like cats that might try to climb on it. It had another warning label on the back panel but I just flipped it around so that the panel faces the wall. The back panels are cheap, flimsy, do not match up perfectly and are problematic to attach. I would not recommend using the screws in the middle of the back panels because even with measuring trying to screw it on is hit or miss and you can put a visible hole through the panel. Even the predrilled holes in the panels don't match up. It might be worth considering not putting on the back panels at all. The rest of the bookcase with exception of the bottom of the drawers is solid wood, which is nice for this price point. I just wish they would have made the entire thing solid wood or done a better job with being able to line up the panels and install them on the back. The bottom of the drawers is actually more sturdy than the back panels, they will be okay. It was easy to put together following the instructions, although it did take me over three hours by myself. You will need both a flat head and a phillips screw driver. I'm taking off a star because of the low quality back panels. If I had to assemble it again I would not put the back panels on. It's taller than I thought it was going to be but I like the height (5'3"). Overall I think the bookcase is pretty solid and a nice piece of furniture for the money.

Love the Look!
This was very easy to put together, as long as you pay attention to what you are doing. I did it by myself, but it would have been more fun with a friend! Great looking piece of furniture and it is not particle board!

A little disappointed for the money, but not returning it
I like that this unit is actually wood and not particle board, engineered wood, or MDF. I like that this unit is very sturdy. I like the style of this unit and that's why I bought it. I don't like that the manufacturer placed a huge sticker on the unit that I may or may not be able to remove completely because the adhesive is very sticky. There are also other little stickers to identify each piece but most of them became hidden during assembly. A few I'll still have to remove and the adhesive used is a powerful one, so hopefully I won't mar the furniture's finish. I don't like that the manufacturer wants me to use tacky orangy looking plastic plugs to cover up the holes where the screw-cams are. Using these plugs would really cheapen the look of the unit. I spent another $13 dollars on another website to buy actual wood plugs that I will stain and use and throw the plastic ones away. I don't like that the backing pieces of the unit are these very rough to the touch thin pieces of wood--at a minimum, they should have been stained with a polyurethane stain to smooth out the finish. I will opt to not use them, as they don't add stability or improve the looks of anything. I don't like that for the money I paid, that I also had to built this unit. Luckily, I've built many similar pieces of furniture so it was just a tedious and time consuming task. Other consumers may not be that experienced and could very easily get frustrated and/or not assemble the unit correctly. Since the unit is heavy, other consumers may also accidentally injure themselves if they cannot lift it safely once it's finally built and has to be put upright.

Beautiful bookcases
We bought 2 of these bookcases for our den, and they hold lots of books while not making the room appear crowded. We downsized to a smaller house and are happy to find such good quality bookcases at a reasonable price. They are beautiful and very well made. Love the drawers on the bottom and they hold lots of stuff. They also provide lots of room for knick knacks on top. I can't recommend these bookcases highly enough!
