Poor service. Poor professionalism. "Superior" Delivery service is laughable.
Worktop Express is one of the worst companies I have had to deal with in living memory for a number of reasons:1) They charge an extortionate delivery fee2) They charge more for identical products you can buy from their company website on amazon3) They claim they offer a "superior" delivery service then competitors which is absolutely false.I ordered worktops from Worktop Express and was surprised by the £75 delivery charge. I appreciate the loads are heavy to manage however I assumed this charge meant peace of mind when delivering the items. Despite claims that their delivery terms and conditions are clearly stated that they only deliver to the ground floor, I am unsurprised to read reviews of people who have been caught out by this ridiculous clause. How can a company justify charging an extortionate amount for delivery when they simply do not deliver to the property. When I inquired how I was supposed to get said worktops into my flat they said "I don't know" which was hugely unhelpful.2) I noticed on Amazon you could order the exact same product, without the extortionate delivery fee. Furthermore the documented delivery policy states that "We cover the majority of England, Wales and Scotland on weekdays with our premium 2Man delivery service - an in-house service that we are proud to offer without extra cost to our customers. As part of this service our specialist team of two drivers will offload your goods and, when reusable packaging is used, will also unpack and remove this outer layer of packaging (please note that though the layer of reusable packaging will be removed, your item will always be left within the innermost layer of packaging - this is necessary for their protection)." There is absolutely NOTHING documented here about the ground floor clause and to assert it's clear is laughable and objectively incorrect.I can confidently state the delivery drivers offloaded the goods by essentially dumping them on the floor.3) The company publishes claims that they offer " a delivery option for every requirement, to every property within the UK - if not with our 2Man service than with one of our trusted external couriers".Furthermore having reviewed their policy closely, it isn't clear despite their many assertions that they only deliver to the ground floor. I can tell you it's not clear. You have to search specifically for "ground floor" in the delivery page of their website. What on earth is the point of a 2-person crew who essentially dumped 3 x 3m worktops on the groundfloor with absolutely no way of getting them to the property. This is highly misleading as I have had deliveries, large and small (sometimes large) from all their competitors: DPD, Amazon, Hermes, Fedex, DHL, Royal Mail, Parcelforce. All of whom have delivered to the property, all of whom have delivered to the front door.Do not order your worktops from here if you want honest, transparent and decent service. Their approach to complaints is patronising, discriminatory and poor. Furthermore they are grossly over representing and misselling their delivery capabilities because it isn't clearly marked on their website.Dealing with these people has caused frustration, anger and rage. Never, ever again.

Worthwhile quality item!
So glad I re-ordered this. Excellent quality and well worth the money. First time I wasn’t in and to re-deliver I’d be charged; (it was free delivery initially). The moral of the story is, “Be at home on big deliveries!”

Much lighter colour than picture shows
Much lighter than picture shows so had return it and was charged £25 for this. Was only packaged in plastic wrap and I didn't feel this was sufficient.
