A Flawless Victory in High Definition!
As a die-hard Mortal Kombat fan, I was excited to get my hands on Mortal Kombat: Legacy II on Blu-ray. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The second season of this web series takes the Mortal Kombat franchise to a whole new level, with stunning visuals, breathtaking fight scenes, and a cast of characters that are both familiar and fresh. The Blu-ray transfer is absolutely flawless, with vibrant colors, crisp details, and immersive sound that will make you feel like you're right in the middle of the action. The video quality is so good that you'll be able to see every bead of sweat and every drop of blood as your favorite fighters battle it out on screen. What I love about Mortal Kombat: Legacy II is that it stays true to the spirit of the games while also carving out its own unique path. The series explores the backstories of beloved characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden, while also introducing new faces like Kung Jin and Cassie Cage. The writing is top-notch, with plenty of nods to the games for longtime fans, but also accessible enough for newcomers to the franchise. And the performances are outstanding, with each actor bringing their own interpretation to these iconic characters.Overall, Mortal Kombat: Legacy II on Blu-ray is a must-have for any Mortal Kombat fan. Whether you're a die-hard who's been playing the games since the '90s or a newcomer who's just discovering the franchise, this series is sure to please. So get ready to finish your opponent in style, because this Blu-ray is a flawless victory!

Here's what I like about it and why it is worth purchasing
So this one was a little different from MK Legacy I. Here's what I like about it and why it is worth purchasing:(1) The fight scenes are good. The acting leaves a little something to be desired, but it's still better acting than MK Legacy I. You can tell the writer put his money into excellent fighters and not actors, which I can appreciate.(2) It shows a darker side of Liu Kang, and how he came to be. They also use Kung Lao to develop Liu Kang's character.(3) Johnny Cage is less of a d-bag in this one, and he looks older and a bit anguished.(4) Kenshi's story was good. I liked the use of telepathic powers, and some of the sword moves he uses are exact replicas of his moves from Deadly Alliance.(5) The Kitana/Mileena fight is really good, and I liked the dynamic between the two characters. Also, their outfits were fabulous hahahaSome things I didn't quite get:(1) I'm not used to Raiden being of Asian descent. I always thought he was supposed to be more Caucasian looking? At least that's what I gathered from previous movies/video games.(2) Wasn't Kung Lao an ancestor of Liu Kang? I thought that's what was implied in Deadly Alliance.(3) They didn't have time or the budget to cover all the characters, so some of the key ones had to be left out.(4) It is slow getting going, but keep watching because it gets really good. These MK Legacy movies could be what paves the way for a great MK movie. We have to understand that the guy who made these movies had only a few days to shoot all the scenes, and he was paying for everything out of his own pocket. So we need to support him.

CD was scratched
Purchased a NEW video and was even sealed in plastic only to open the box and the cd (NOT LOOSE IN THE BOX) had a huge scratch on it. Definitely not new in any way.

A legacy unfulfilled.
Legacy II is a follow-up to the excellent fan-produced webisode series “Mortal Kombat: Legacy”. Unfortunately Legacy II does not live up to what Legacy began. Comprising 10 episodes the series uses mostly new actors which makes for a jarring experience if you’ve recently watched Legacy. Also jarring is the out-of-order sequence your DVD may play the episodes if you select “play all” as mine did; you are encouraged to watch them by selecting them individually and in order. Production values are lower this time around and it shows but the series still pulls out some nice spfx moments; the fighting is much bloodier and they kill off some characters but no one is set up as a sympathetic character for you to really root for; in the past Liu Kang and others were shown to be the heroes to follow, here everyone is painted in darker tones. Lastly the series ends with a clear picture of where it wants to go in the future but unlike Legacy where you could relax and felt like it had an arc that satisfied within itself II leaves you wondering where you are and why you should care. But I’m only a very casual MK fan, and primarily from the movie side of the universe, so take that for what it’s worth. 2.75 stars.

Good, but it is a jump from the first one.......
I liked Legacy II but I wished it had been more of a continuation of the first one. I did not like that there were different people playing some of the characters from the first one either. What happened to Sonya and Jax? I like Mark Dacoscus as Raiden but was hoping the earlier story would be expounded on rather than just a new guy showing up.The fights were good I think. I think it jumped too far to fast between the two disks. I enjoyed it though and hope there is a part three eventually.

An incomplete movie that could have been amazing
Over all it was a great movie. Better than the first part. Sadly they never finished the movie and never will. It just stops as the movie gets really going and leaves you with a " to be continued" that will never happen.

Ill-fated and underrated masterpiece by fans for fans... or is it?
At first I wasn't too sure about this second season. It left me asking myself where the missing part was. Mainly because in it's original web broadcast it felt incomplete and wrongly edited. The timing was all wrong and everything felt rushed until it ended in the middle of a climax.BUT, and that is a big one... this DVD let's you play the whole series as a decently long movie. And I would swear the editing here is better. WAY better. To the point of feeling like a complete work though strangely or wilfully obscure. The change of actors from season 1 to 2 for some characters is somewhat disconcerting. But once again, the cast is so well chosen that it barely matters. This is quite literally littered with screen gems. Fans of Johnny Cage might be glad to find back his comic relief attitude though. (While I personally miss the failed actor from Power Rangers iteration. And the English speaking Scorpion of feudal Japan still sounds wrong!)Be prepared for a wild ride. With almost no exposition, starting as a sequel from a never seen tournament (not really fitting as a sequel for the 1995 movie), unexplained time travel (as far as I can tell), and also unexplained immortals (Fans of MK : conquest will however piece it together just fine) ; MK: Legacy 2 is incredibly loyal to its source material. One would think this would make it unbearable to those who did not read every text of every games, and truly, such a familiarity help. However, friends that knew nothing of the franchise also liked it to the point of asking me when the next one would come out...Which is a good question. Because this will definitely leave you asking for more. There was supposed to be a movie (good), or a T.V. Show with a normal length (better) coming after this. But while there is still a next Mortal Kombat in development hell, Kevin Tancharoen has sadly left the room!So while this is the best adaptation ever made of Mortal Kombat I do wish its (too good to be true) quality and conflicts of production won't make it the last.(To be watched with the first season in order to be fully appreciated.)

Mortal Kombat reloaded
I really enjoyed this season much more than the first. I would have given this DVD, 5 stars IF they showed the last fight. This was the fight that would have been the "main event". Imagine of the having an even built up then seeing "to be Kontinued", at the main fight. To me that is completely unforgivable. If wrote this review yesterday I probably would have taken off 2 stars are I was so angry. Calming down I remembered the rest of the show DVD was excellent. The production is better and is more of the Street Fighter Assassins fist style of have each individual episodes adding up to a movie. Having Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa reprise\renew his role as Shang Tsung was brilliant and having his saying the iconic lines from the first more was not lost on a continuity lover like me.This DVD, work from the point that there have been previous MK tournaments. Now 10 year have passed and it is time for the new tournament. Again Raiden and Shang Tsung must choose their team respective teams of warriors. Let just say a former champion has not fared well in the last 10 years and has been corrupted? The actual fighting in this DVD does not start till much later, but from a storyline perspective that was a very good idea. When they start the fights are bloody, brutal and in most cases fatal. A couple of people take each other "Fatalities", but even that was a good choice. The only down side of this movie is that fight that did not happen. The one I was most looking forward to. Aside a great DVD.
