Please be aware that as of this writing, there's an error in the listing for this product. The Neater Feeder Deluxe for Small Dogs comes with two different sized bowls. One is 14 ounces, while the other is 16 ounces. The listing states "includes two 1-pint premium stainless steel bowls." I contacted the company, and was told that they would correct the error in the listing. They also told me that they're sending me a free 16 ounce bowl, so that I'll have two of the same size. Their customer service is excellent.With that said, I purchased this for my cat, not my dog. In my opinion, most dog owners, unless you have a very tiny pooch, will want to purchase a larger size. This one works perfectly for my cat, but if you own a 35 pound dog, you'll definitely want to size up.As far as the feeder goes, the quality is top-notch, and it works as advertised to keep your floors clear of food and water. It took my cat a short while to get used to this, but once he did, he uses it without issue. Whoever designed this, came up with a great idea. Not only does it keep your floor clean, but it's also heavy enough, so as to avoid moving around. The rubber feet add to its stability. This is definitely a 5 star product.Addendum: The listing has been corrected to reflect the two different sized bowls. To be exact, however, the size of the bowls are 14 ounce and 16 ounce as mentioned above.

This item is great, the plastic is solid, the dark blue matches what is pictured. However, the images and description are misleading. The smaller bowl holds 1 3/4 cups of liquid when filled of the rim, so really, only 1 1/2 cups as described. The larger bowl holds 2 cups when filled to the rim, so really 1 3/4 cups. It will overflow with 2.2 cups stated in the description. S\BEWARE that some of the photos in the standard leg version show the extended leg version. The SMALL standard leg version is overall a good size for a 20 lbs Boston Terrier but is too short. If unsure, purchasing the extended leg version might be safer. Alternatively, additional bases can be purchased separately. The extended leg version is nothing more than the standard version with 4 legs added to the bottom of the base. They can be purchased from the manufacturer's website or the extended leg version can be purchased and the legs not attached (In the case of a growing pet, using standard until they are grown enough and need the extended leg version). All other information seems accurate.

The feeder is all plastic and easy to clean. It is sturdy as far as the thickness of the plastic. The color is beige and brown as pictured. The bottom basin catches the water really well. The top keeps the food off the floor. This works perfect for my small mini dachshund. It could be elevated a little more for her, but she doesn't seem to mind. It would not hold up to a busy or aggressive dog because it seems to be easily knocked from the base. The plastic would hold up even when this gets knocked from it's base. It still seems to hold the contents really well in the contoured area. If you have a small dog, this is a great product to keep water and food off the floor and mat. Would recommend a higher elevated option for bigger dogs for sure.

Tried several different feeder configurations for my elderly cat (21-yrs). This one hit the mark on all counts.I have to feed him his meals inside a large dog crate to keep the other pets away from him while he eats (so he can be relaxed and get all his food). This unit slips easily into the crate with both bowls in place (one for soft food, one for dry). Clean up is a breeze because it confines spills, so no more do I have to get down on my hands and knees to reach to the back of the crate after every meal. Also, the high sides shield his food from the long-reaching paws of my two young cats trying to snatch his food through the bars of the crate. And it raises the food so he can eat easier and with less mess (he is 21-yrs old afterall, that's like 100 in kitty-years). Oh, and his regular bowls I was using fit nicely into the holes in this one, so I don't need to use the metal ones that came with it; we can keep using his ceramic bowls (which is nice since I often warm his wet food just a bit in the microwave first).

I needed to get a new food/water bowl set for Molly, my little 16 pound yorkie mix because she leaves an incredible water mess all over the floor and drops the morsels of food that she has no intention of eating on the floor.I went with the deluxe Small Dog model. The metal bowls are not as sturdy as the metal dog dish that this is replacing. But the bowls will suffice.The water bowl is advertised as holding 2.2 cups of water, well, it holds exactly 2 cups which is .20 cups short, although 2 cups is better than the 1 & 1/2 cup capacity that this new bowl is replacing so, I am ok with the liquid volume.Molly still removes the morsels she has no intention of eating & drops the kibble/morsels on the floor, so this feeder does nothing to stop food from getting on the floor. Now, after Molly eats her kibble, she always gets a squirt of whipped cream for dessert, when licking the bowl, the entire feeding dish moves causing the water to spill, with this new feeder, the water still leaves the bowl BUT, it is contained and no longer slops up the floor. So far the water bowl works as intended; splashes and falls through the holes.I would have rated the product with 5 stars but, it falls short with the less than advertised water capacity and the fact that the bowls could be sturdier, especially given how expensive this unit is.

This product is AWESOME! This is my 3rd one, after we got 2 other puppies. I highly recommend. It is a gamechanger on the mess that doodles make!

I really like this for my 3 cats but the bowls are too small. I thought I had purchased a 1 cup and 1-1/2 cup but these are not that size. I am currently trying to find deeper bowls because I have to fill them 2-3 times a day.However, the set up itself is great. No more splashing of water by one cat who likes to clean her feet in the water bowl. For some reason she doesn’t do that now, ha, ha. Keeps the food in the tray and it is super easy to use and keep clean. Just the right height and very sturdy. I would purchase again. I wish that they had bowls that were deeper. I thought I ordered the express one but now I wonder.It is great though, worthy of 5 stars!

Best cat water bowls I’ve ever had. I have several rescue cats, and I got this for one who like to splash in her bowl. It worked for that very well, but also my other cats drink more out of this than the other bowls and fountains I have. Not sure what it is, but they love it. It’s helped one of my cats with kidney issues Drink more water and maintain his levels. The whole thing is also easy to clean in the dishwasher.
