Sous vide cooking for the win!
I've been hearing a lot about sous vide cooking from friends for a long while now, so when I saw this reasonably priced Acrato sous vide cooker, I figured I would finally give this a try. This sous vide cooker is easy to use. You set the temperature and time with the dial, press "ON" and away we go. There are useful, handy markings on the stem of the cooker that shows you the minimum and maximum water level that you need. I almost made a mistake by putting too little water and ended up topping it up after to the right level. I had chicken thighs I needed to use up, so I googled for a recipe "Crispy Chicken Thighs". I seasoned the thighs with a garlic salt grinder mix from Trader Joe's and then put them in the included plastic bag with a pat of butter. After the cook time was up, I browned them in a cast iron pan. So good that my daughter asked to have them again the next night.

Super easy to use. Works great.
This was my second time trying a Sous Vide device. This one was much more compact than the last one I used. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use and how well it worked. It pre-heats the water very fast and maintains the temperature perfectly. You can see in my pictures that I did a pork roast but unfortunately stopped at about 2.5 hrs, but before it was done. I was following directions from a recipe but it wasn’t accurate for the size of roast I had. Regardless, you can see that the temp was exactly the same through the top, middle, and bottom of the roast. This was no fault of the device though. I simply took it off and finished on my smoker. The juices were running like crazy and it was perfectly done. I used for chicken a few days later with perfect results. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants to try Sous vide.

Not durable
Started off great. Used it a total of 7 times before it died. It would flash on when smacked a bit but wouldn't stay on. I opened it up as I'm past my return window, found that the wires inside that supply power are too short. The positive lead had pulled off. Discovered this right before Thanksgiving, which of course meant I had to try to fix to use for the next day when all stores are closed and no replacement handy. I had to add extra wiring to the positive lead to prevent it from slipping off again. Interestingly, the rubber cover on the positive lead was slightly melted and scorched, indicating a possible short at some point with the loose cable. When it worked it was great, but durability is lacking here.

extremely convenient
my vietnamese cooking is easy like this. I can adjust the time and temperature to the exact same for each dish I cook. Each type of vegetable or meat needs to be cooked at different temperatures and times to be the best and without loss of nutrients. With the electric or gas stove I spend a lot of time and extra equipment to be able to cook perfectly. But with this product, just 2 minutes can prepare everything to cook in the best way and in the meantime I can make other dishes. very convenient

Makes eggs just like starbucks
I really wanted a Sous Vide to make egg bites like starbucks. They are amazing but at 6.95 for 2 they quickly become cost prohibitive. Literally you break even in less than a month buying your own sous vide. This Sous Vide works great it makes the eggs just how I wanted but the instructions are a little confusing a best. I cant fault the product itself but the instructions could use some work. Instead of trying to decipher them watch the 45 second video I attached to this review and skip the instructions. There is a helpful chart for the cook times and internal temps but other than that the instructions are not very helpful.

Maintains consistent temperature in a water bath
This immersion circulator is good at maintaining stable and consistent temperature when cooking sous vide. I can handle decent sized pots and tubs filled with water. This even comes with a few sous vide bags to seal your food!

very happy with this purchase
I wasn't sure that the first sous vide cooker I bought was going to be right, but I was pretty convinced by Silicon Ghost's review. Sure enough, all is well. Not only did it totally crush a pork butt, but the eggs I cooked in it were absolutely perfect and uniform. No complaints on my end so far.

This has completely changed how I cook, and given me real satisfaction from my home cooked meals.
This has completely changed how I cook, and given me real satisfaction from my home cooked meals. I always associated sous vide with aspirational cooking but after a simple and delicious dinner at a friend's, who prepared the food with a sous vide cooker, I quickly changed my mind and ordered this. There are a ton of resources online for sous vide that I have used in conjunction with this cooker, which is basically ready to go straight out of the box. So far eggs, tuna, asparagus and steak have turned out fantastically for me, and have all tasted discernibly better than my prior "regular" cooking methods. I am going to keep experimenting and enjoying heightened flavors I am achieving.
