Easy fresh mushrooms
I now have four packs of these. Suspect one is getting to the end of its life but will certainly buy more in future. From experience give them plenty of spray. We have been so impressed and great anticipation when will they grow and how many makes it interesting. Once they start coming they can grow very fast. We've harvested them small and large. Very fleshy, fresh lovely mushrooms. If you are looking to get them cheaper than at the supermarket I doubt this is possible but the quality is fabulous, pick and straight in the pan. Each box has varied in amounts produced at first crop but tend to level out with second crop. Oh and I didnt start them all at once to ensure a steady supply.

Waiting game
If your in hurry for mushrooms, get a carton at Tesco's. This process takes time, although once the spores appear ,they put a spurt on. The mushrooms you get are meaty and fresher than you're get in any supermarket. Wouldn't say raw mushrooms in general have a very strong flavour. as these don't. I got two good harvests of about 20 mushrooms of different sizes (big to medium), and just a couple the third time. Then the growing medium went in the compost. Would I bother again? probably not, hardly a cost productive way of procuring mushrooms. Was it worth it? Yes, I would recommend having a go at least once. Its also a fun conversation piece at parties, when you need something to fill an awkward silence. .

Bit disappointed first time round, thoroughly unimpressed second time round
Update 2025 - we ordered another box in June 2025 after our disappointment in 2024, in the hopes we might have had a dodgy box first time round. Nope. Again followed the instructions to the letter, temperature checking, misting twice a day, lid on and off for the required period.... 4 weeks in and nothing. Not even any hint of a baby mushrooms. Unbelievably disappointed with this product and will now definitely not be ordering anymore from this seller.2024 review - We've grown mushrooms before so were excited to get this box. Started on 9th September, lid off on 18th...... Then nothing for 3 weeks. After that started to see the little white heads coming through (see second pic) so got excited.... But then they all stalled, bar one. We've been away for two days; it was too small to pick when we left but having just arrived home it's now grown to a healthy Portobello mushroom. Which is nice, but not great for a family of 4 where we were expecting enough to feed all of us.Very easy instructions but not good value for money. £20 for one field mushroom.

expensive way to have home grown mushrooms
easy instructions, nice to see your mushrooms growing, but not value for money, as mushrooms are much cheaper to buy, they did taste good. expected more of a crop

Fun project to do
Cool little project to do and is super easy as the hard work is done for you, (growing and preparing the mycelium). I would recommend

Late but worthy
There was a problem with the delivery and arrived almost 1 week later. The seller apologised and refunded half the price. One it arrived, the item was in a very good condition and I'm very satisfied with the quality of the product.
