Really fun - produces lots of bubbles, just make sure you use the supplied bubble mix.
The media could not be loaded. This is just great. We had a previous bubble machine but it got left in the shed over winter and isn't in a good way now so knowing how much all kids love this sort of thing we bought a new one for a party we were having. I did try it with some bubble mix we had already open which was a somewhat underwhelming outcome, but a second try with the supplied bubbles was just fantastic - check the video for how many bubbles it throws out. A lesson learned there to not use cheap bubble mix. The kids were soon running round trying to catch the bubbles but there were just so many they couldn't possibly. They loved it. The bubbles are quite small but float around very well. The bubble mix also lasts a surprisingly long time and the 4 batteries in the unit don't seem to run down to quickly. It's probably had three hours use with no sign of the batteries draining and the mix about a quarter gone (though it ran dry a few times which thankfully didn't seem to affect it at all). There is a push on/off switch behind one of the eyes that's easy to use for little fingers.

Lots of rainbow bubbles to chase
The media could not be loaded. Even though it says for age 6+ on the box, this was a fun present for a 2 year old who loves blowing bubbles, but it wasn’t quite what I expected (I also think it’s too babyish for a child older than six). I think, because it’s called a bubble maker (as opposed to a bubble machine) I assumed that a child would have some input - as in ‘making’ the bubbles. But all the child has to do is push a button to start the cog wheel turning. The machine does the rest. Also, it says ‘fill’ with solution on the box. It comes with two small bottles of differently coloured solution, but it actually only takes a small amount of the bubble solution, which is put into into the frog’s open, fairly shallow mouth (or trough, for want of a better word) - and the frog blows bubbles when the maker is switched on. With the solution receptacle being open and shallow it is easy for a child to spill the solution out of it if they walk around carrying it.But, I do quite like it. It’s a happy looking frog - albeit a noisy, messy, one - who splashes out drips of bubble solution as he churns the bubbles out. And my granddaughter loves it, so that’s good enough for me as it’s meant for kids and not for grown ups. It’s attractively boxed – an ideal party present – and is powered by four AA batteries, which are not included.

Don't bother, save your money
Arrived the next day.. that's the only positive I can put.The bubble solution just poured out the bottom of the frog into the battery compartment, the batteries barely fit and despite the cover and screw keeping them in they popped out of place and pushed the cover open.. the bubble solution also somehow got sucked through and came out the fan at the back too. Also it is super loud! We had an old machine that broke which is why we bought a new one and that made noise but this one is awful!*edit to add*Broke after two uses... I made sure to remove batteries after each use and that it was drained completely and dry before putting away.. waste of money.

My granddaughter loves it
Inside or outside its great for toddlers, hours of fun and it wears them out, whats not to love? Throws a good lot of bubbles. Yes, its plastic and yes if dropped on a hard surface it may not fair to well. So put it up high enough so they can't get to it. Problem solved. Small and compact but it does it say what it does . Lots of bubbles
