BRILLIANT!
FINALLY!! As great an improvement as squeeze bottles for Hellman's mayo and honey. How did we ever live without those?? I've been hooked on Marmite for decades and use it in lieu of bullion and soup base, sauce flavoring and umami flavor cravings. The squeeze bottle makes it so much easier to use in smaller controlled squirts on crackers, toast, etc. The consistency seems identical to the messy jars, but is SO much easier and neater to use. I love it! (ordering my second one) [UPDATE: Ordered my second one and it arrived approximately three weeks later UK>US... sooner than expected.] [UPDATE DEC 2017) WOW!!! FAST SHIPPING!!! Ordered it on December 9th, and it arrived in the US on Dec. 12th! Thank you! [ UPDATE NOV 2020] Arrived five days EARLIER than estimated. Well wrapped. Thank you again!

Brit-Vegan Husband Is Happy & So Am I
Being vegan, this product has become an integral part of my husband's diet. (containing a spectrum of B vitamins..especially B-12). The fact too that he comes from Scotland & Marmite has always been a favorite of his in the edible landscape makes this a coveted item (which, for some reason, is scarce & so expensive here in the USA!) After scouring the internet for quite a while, I was pleased to discover a seller on Amazon (Premier Life) selling an economy-sized container of this yeasty delight at a very fair price! (in fact, not much more expensive than what it sells for in the supermarkets in Great Britain...plus free shipping!) If you don't mind waiting a bit longer for your item(s) to arrive (since it ships from the UK), then this is an excellent vendor to purchase from! Our plastic jar of Marmite arrived in about 3 weeks time & was in perfect condition! My hubby is once again happy/content! (He spreads a thin "schmear" of the stuff on whole wheat matzoh btw;) So thank you Premier Life & Amazon Marketplace for enabling us to continue buying this highly nutritious & tasty (it's an acquired taste but grows on you;) product! Cheers!! Update June 9th, 2014: Just received 2 more 400g containers of Marmite BUT this 2nd time ordering through Amazon Marketplace, I did NOT re-order from the above-stated seller Premier Life, but rather, from another UK merchant called Nanobits.... SINCE Premier Life decided to jack up their price shortly thereafter from what I had originally paid (from $9.88 to an EXORBITANT $17.95 per container!!!!!!) Quite a jump in price, eh??? SO... I feel I must amend my original review which stated that Premier Life was selling this product at a good/fair price! They did not stand by that price & furthermore, this company seems to have disappeared from the sellers list altogether! Nanobits had the same size container of Marmite at a comparable price (plus free shipping) so I went with them for this most recent order. I was very pleased with how quickly the items arrived (well within the estimated delivery date) and the excellent condition of the items as well. Both containers were well-swaddled in thick rolls of bubble wrap. My only concern presently is the fact that Nanobits has now pushed THEIR prices up as well... by about $2 per container!!!! Why these sudden sharp increases in such a short period of time, I have to wonder?!? All this to say, I will not be coming back to Amazon Marketplace to reorder this item unless the prices return to what I deem fair & reasonable for this size container of Marmite! Buyer beware of extreme price fluctuations by certain third-party sellers here on Amazon Marketplace!

The best way to enjoy Marmite
Unfortunately, I am in a small minority of Americans when it comes to my affinity for Marmite and Vegemite, so this tasty treat can be hard to find locally. I can find the 125g glass jar at the local grocery store, but it costs almost as much as this 400g size, and is far messier to use. No matter how careful I am with the glass jar, I always end up drizzling some of this delicious, viscous treat onto the threads of the jar. Because of this, the next time I try to open the jar, I almost have to have a blow torch and a pair of Channel Lock pliers to get the job done. This squeeze container takes away all of the negatives of the glass jar. I now reach for Marmite more often because using it is so much easier, and as a result I have tried it on more snacks, in soup, or an ingredient to enhance the flavor of other meals. The Marmite Big Squeeze conveniently dispenses vitamin B rich deliciousness whenever you want it. What more could I ask for?

but it's so easy to get too much
This took a very long time to arrive(probably 3 weeks to a month? I had actually forgotten that I ordered it, enough time had passed). As a US resident, I didn't grow up on this stuff, but tasted it a long time ago and ever since I've been hooked. Used to be I could get the jars in U.S grocery stores, but I have not seen them for a very long time. Anyways, a little jar goes a long way, but it's so easy to get too much, and so hard to get all of it out of the jar, making the whole enterprise feel very wasteful. This container will surely last me years, but perhaps even more importantly, it's a neater, cleaner way to dispense marmite in moderate proportions, and I'm confident it will lead to less wastage, and perhaps even less bites of toast with too much. I don't see a reason to review what's IN the bottle because you either love or hate this stuff, and if you love it, there is probably still such a thing as too much marmite.

Great source of "B" vitamins for vegans.
This stuff is so good. I have got to eat my marmite every morning. Every day. I really, really love this big squeeze. It is so much more convenient than using a knife to spread from the old glass jars. Where have you been all my life? Oh, and eating marmite is a great way to get your "B" vitamins. Especially if you're vegan like my wife and myself.

EZ SQUEEZE UNTIL BOTTOM!
I liked the squeeze jar. It made it much easier to put marmite on toast or muffin. Just remember to store it top down. You will need a soon when you get close to bottom! This is my reason for four stars! The Marmite is, of course 5 Stars!

A gotta-have umami-booster for cooks!
I don't eat this stuff as the British do, on toast, biscuits, etc., but I find I can't be without it now. It adds a boost of umami to gravies & sauces; its meaty sort of flavor is handy if you run low on beef stock and need to add some liquid to a dish - you can add water & some of this to stretch it! It IS verrrry salty, though. I use as many low sodium / no salt added products as I can find when I'm cooking, anyway, because I can always add salt, but can't remove salt; this is a tasty way to add salt to a dish. As Samin Nosrat says, there are MANY sources of salt you can add to a dish which add actual flavor, as well!

Drizzle Drazzle
Well, I'm an American and at 28 years old, I'm definitely a Marmite convert. I started with a 125g jar to sample the flavor and see what all the hullabaloo was about. After getting halfway through that jar I decided I was in it to win it. This squeeze bottle makes application 100 times easier and lets you avoid the messy knife as well as the sticking screw top issues that come with the typical glass jar. As far as the flavor goes: it took me a while to get used to. It's very powerful, very savory, and very salty. I recommend using it sparingly at first to appreciate the full flavor. I started by mixing it with butter on toast and then occasionally with cream cheese on bagels (delicious). I mostly drizzle it on plain toast now and I am always satisfied with the flavor. Overall, I give Marmite and the Big Squeeze an A+, would drizzle again.
