LAVO Glycolic Acid Face Wash for Acne Prone Skin, Oily, and Combination - with Salicylic and Lactic Acid - Helps Exfoliate Blackheads, Clogged Pores, Pimples - for Men, Women, and Teens

I am writing this review based off a long, hard struggle with my skin for years. Let me start out by saying that I have sensitive skin with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks/around my mouth area. I have hormonal cystic acne that pops up whenever, wherever due to PCOS. I decided to try this face wash due to the good reviews and also the promising ingredients. All pose a simple, possible miracle product which *fingers crossed* could clear up my troublesome skin. When i tried this product, I was going through a panicked phase of, once again, trying to find literally anything that would clear up my skin. I used a facial brush and used both the face wash and LAVO moisturizer in combination with B.P. topical cream to spot treat. I must say that at the beginning, it did dry out some blemishes that I had going on previously. The problem was that after 3 weeks, my face started to feel like sandpaper. The product is SO over-drying. My skin was unhappy and ended up so much worse than when i started. I dropped literally every product I was using and overhauled my whole skin care routine. I used both Aveeno Clear Complexion cream wash and moisturizer and still spot treat with B.P. I know products do work differently for everyone, so in reality I am not that surprised. Hopefully my review will let others gain some insight

I had acne as a teen and saw a dermatologist. I have had occasionally outbreaks in 20,30 and 40's but nothing bad. Menopause has caused an explosion of crazy acne I have never experienced. Dermatologist can see me in 10 months but needed help NOW. I went on Pinterest and a dermatologist recommended several products for hormonal acne. I have bought everything she recommended and an not 100% clear, but it has only been 1 week. It has improved at least 90%.

This is the best face wash I’ve ever tried. I recently have had adult hormonal and cystic acne. It was BAD for about 6 months. I tried everything and nothing was getting rid of my small acne or my cystic acne or making my face smooth. I tried this wash for 1 week and it’s already smoothed my skin completely, my cystic acne is gone and my scars are lightening. I’m buying this in bulk!!!!!!

I have been searching for a replacement for my beloved MD Forte for over a year. I found some fantastic face wash and they promptly stopped making it. I have been through so many face washes, looking for one that didn't make me break out, but all of them would cause massive break outs with my super sensitive skin. This face wash, though, finally did the trick. It washes my face well and it doesn't make me break out, my two requirements. So, if you have super sensitive skin, try it!

The above photo is how it all started. Cystic acne that never went away!!!! I ordered this product after finding a blog about acne and this product was mentioned. I said why not try it. So glad I did. There is no colors to the product and a little goes a long way. That bottle will last me forever. I also like that there are 4 different acids combined to help combat whatever I have going on. This product came with a sample of the ginseng toner which is also amazing. My skin hasn’t felt or looked this good and a long time. Even my dermatologist didn’t help me this much. I will be recommending this product to my friends.

Wow! So I was looking for a good salicylic acid face wash that wouldn't break the bank but was a little stronger than your drugstore kind. This clarifying face wash had amazing reviews and I have to say... I AGREE. I've been using it for roughly a month and a half now. It has three different acids in it to help combat acne. My skin is sensitive and combination as well as prone to cystic acne. This face wash leaves my skin feeling super CLEAN (no residue, non-drying). It also leaves my skin feeling balanced where honestly I don't even feel the need to slather on moisturizer after like I've had to for some cleansers. I really feel like the three different acids work well together. I would describe the scent as being minty and slightly medicinal. I think it has overall improved my acne. It also does well for removing makeup. Use it every day!

I switched to this line of products from Clinique. I am thrilled that I did it because I love all of their products. And I haven't had a pimple since I bought them and I notice my brown spots fading and my fine lines diminishing. It doesn't irritate my face or dry it out too much and It definitely cleans my face well It's so gentle I can use my facial brush with it but it works like a charm

I am not quite sure what I expected from this wash. I know I wanted to see my skin look cleaner and be less prone to cystic acne. I am not sure I have been using the product long enough. I was definitely expecting more of the glycolic acid and salicylic acid to be stronger. It is not. In terms of the feel. The LAVO wash is a gel substance. You will not get a lather. I will update this post when I feel that I have used the product long enough. It has only been 2 weeks and I do not see any noticeable difference.
