Best multi function scale on the market
to preface this - I've ordered multiple things on amazon over the last few years, based on customer feedback. I have found that customer feedback has been EXTREMELY accurate time and time again, and it is my duty to finally review this and other items for others.I was searching for1) Complete accuracy in weight in multiple standards (lb and kg)- this one achieves that and does one better working in stones. Accurate 100% of the time. Multiple repeats lead to identical number to 99.9%.2) Ability to measure body fat percentage, accounting for the water weight in the muscles, and the muscle mass percentage. Again, MUCH better than I had expected.- this machine has 10 settings for different people, and remembers them for over a year now (great battery efficiency), so I don't have to input my age/weight every time.- It measures the BODY FAT PERCENTAGE, accounting for weather you are an athlete or a not - as these two will make your numbers very different. OMG - I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER - it is AS accurate than any other OFFICIAL test, and always gives me the same results. This machine also (as implied), will give your body fat percentage if you are a non-athlete correctly as well.- IN ADDITION - provides Muscle mass percentage, and WATER WEIGHT!!!!. These are so crucial for myself, as I workout every 2 days, and it lets me know my physical condition from all aspects.3) Price!- I am shocked that a machine this cheap does all of the things the professional ones do for much much more money. It feels like having a qualified doctor measure these things for you, at your own house.I have had it for over a year, and use it almost daily. Amazing product. I have not changed the battery yet. It turns on by simply moving it a bit with your foot, so no need to bend down. The screen is easy to see, and the buttons are wide and far apart, so that you could use your feet. Finally, instructions are very intuitive, and I only had to spend a few minutes reading the manual, and now know how to perform all of the multiple functions by heart. Also, as I've said, it remembers everything! So once set up, there is nothing you need to do, but let it work it's magic.I have spent days researching this, as I am an athlete and workout all the time. This is the BEST machine for under $500 easy.

Been using it for four years without even needing a battery change, accurate measurements.
I have been using this scale daily to track my weight and body fat percentage for four years, and it's been consistently accurate against other scales, and the body fat percentage for me at least miraculously is quite close to that measured with calipers (13.2% versus 13.6%). It takes a bit of time to calibrate on startup, and it takes a few seconds to stabilize the weight and electrical measurements, but as someone who builds scientific equipment for a living this doesn't surprise or bother me.It would be nice if it had memory to store previous values so you could chart things out; I know that some people have the tendency to freak out when their statistics vary a lot from day to day -- but this is normal. You have varying amounts of food and water in your system, so having a larger set of data in memory that it's able to show you the actual long term trends from would be great. At my size (183#, 6'6") a variation of up to 2 pounds from day to day is totally normal, and that's a lot of noise for a human to try to filter out.

Disappointed
I really should have listened to others reviews on this product, but I thought if I had any problems I could just call the manufacturer and they would help me out. WRONG. My scale only offers all the detailed information for the male setting; it doesn't work for female setting and only offers and "ERR" signal. This is really frustrating and I called the company twice about this and BOTH times I was brushed off. They told me to do ridiculous things such as increasing my daily water intake and stepping onto the scale with wet feet (dangerous) insisting that there was something wrong with me for why it wasn't reading. It isn't me because every person I put on the scale (male and female) that is in the female mode gets and "ERR" signal and when I weigh myself in male mode it gives me all the information (which doesn't help since its geared for a male). Utterly frustrated with both the product and the service! I usually never fear buying things with bad reviews because manufacturers always fix any problems-- This is the first time I have ever regretted an Amazon purchase!ps one star given because it does give me my weight... too bad that's not only what I bought it for!

Big promises, small delivery
This scale is an epic FAIL in my opinion. It promised to read my body fat composition, muscle mass, water percentage and give me a calorie goal based on those figures. It's supposed to work for people who weigh up to at least 360 pounds. I am well under that weight so it ought to work for me. It reads my weight just fine, but as far as those other things all it gives me is "Err 4" which according to the manual means the percentages are off the chart. I did careful research before purchasing this particular scale and was careful to purchase the one that had the best reviews as to reading the fat/muscle stats. This item carries the Biggest Loser name, so I expected it to work as promised. After all, the latest contestants are usually in the high 300-400 pound categories. If Biggest Loser is going to put their name on a scale shouldn't it work for their own contestants, much less the rest of us? They ought to include a wider range of percentages and ratios. I give it one star for keeping it's promise to display a correct weight. But my old, much less expensive scale did that. I give it a second star for being easy to set up and program with my age, height and other stats.

accurate weight, not sure about body fat percent
Difficult scale to set up. The weight function is accurate compared to my previous scale and my Doctor's office scale. I have questions about the body fat content which is vastly different from my prior scale and from the numbers generated from the measure the waist and neck estimation method. The latter 2 are very close to each other, while this scale gives me a %fat which is nearly twice as much. I do love getting the BMI data, but still learning about the % muscle and % water. Overall an average product, although not sure I would buy it again.
