CRESCENT 148-Piece Profession

I originally won my first tool kit at my class reunion. The rest is history, I purchased one for my sister and one for my sister in law

Crescent tools are generally good quality. That said, I'm unable to figure out how to open this case. I've emailed Crescent. I've also message them on Instagram. But no one gets back to me. I'm sure if I just break the red tab I can get into the case, but I don't want a broken tab. No instructions came with the tool set. I don't want to return it, but if I can't figure it out I'll return it.

Good product for a great price.

This is a great set . I've had threeover the years. The tools are high quality. The screw driver handles however have gone down a little in quality in the last few years . The reason this isn't a 5 star raiting ,is the case . They switched to a thinner plastic. It is not durable at all . The latches may not work when it's new . They definitely will break.

A friend recommended this set and he is generally happy with it. It looks like the case has been redesigned though. If it’s to prevent theft, they should get 5 stars for it, because no one can get into the case. Looks like this is going back. You can’t use tools that you can’t access.

Looks like they finally switched from the stupid latches to slide locks on the top and bottom of the case, much better.The listing shows the new 150 pc. set and the new 148pc set, which one do I get? I'd love to have the old 148pc with deep well sockets in it, not sure why they dropped those from the kit? They already had small sockets in there, they didn't need the bits!Could be so much better.
