Time to write and give as a gift!
This is a great gift for the grand kids I plan on sending this to my granddaughter who just started first grade this will be perfect for her to learn to write and learn her alphabets. Who ever came up with this idea is brilliant, I like the option of the erase button which if you make a mistake you can just erase it..brilliant the screen could be a little brighter but all in all a very good product, considering what is out there this is one of the good ones!!

Say Goodbye To Scratch Paper!
I bought this as a way to stop using paper. I already use a Samsung tablet to handwrite all my notes in college, but I wanted something quick and easy to write with when wanting to do some quick scratch work. This works perfectly for that, despite being design for kids. The pen is held firmly in place at the top of the pad, and the back of the device can act as both a measuring tool and a mouse pad. Functionally it works like a breeze, just remove the stylus and get going. When you wanna clear the 'page' just press the delete button on top and you get a clean slate. It works like a charm, and is very light and thin. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and feel like I never have to use paper as scratch paper again.

Mostly good, could use a design enhancement and some quality control.
This is a lot of fun for the kids. No paper, no messes. There are two down-sides to this product. 1) I've intermittently not been able to get the screen to erase. It seems like the orientation of the board has something to do with it. Usually when it will not erase, I change how I'm holding it and then it works. When there aren't issues with erasing, it works great. The second issue is that there isn't any place to store the stylus. there is this weird little eyelet at the corner so that you can use it like a kick-stand, according to a product image, but it's not a perfect fit. My stylus is a little large. I wish I had a place to store and optionally a means to add/remove a string/chain when not in use so that my kids don't lose the stylus.

Not Bright • Not Right • Poorly made.
The screen is not bright at all. The battery compartment is cheaply made and the screw to hold it on is almost molecular/microscopic in size and very impractical to work with. You drop that screw and it is gone forever! Also when I took the battery compartment out to see if there even was a batter inside, it was impossible to put back together and when I did, the "erase" button would not work.Amazon should not be carrying this product. Cheaply made and impractical. Giving it two stars because I WAS able to see a bit of a something when I brought it into a dark room.

Dropped on concrete floor several times and it still works just fine. Quality is very impressive
I bought this tablet for my 8 year old daughter. She loves it and called it "Boogie board". That's how her classmates call it. It has decent size: 12". She can scratch a lot of non-sense on it. She took it with her everyday in first week. Dropped on concrete floor several times and it still works just fine. Quality is very impressive. May last long. It also comes with an extra button battery. Makes it a sweet deal.

The Delete Button Doesn't Always Work
Great price for a 12-inch writing tablet, and the "e-ink" works great - it is very smooth, there is literally no lag so it feels exactly like an expensive felt pen. However, just after using it twice, the "trash/clear screen" button is already malfunctioning - it is unresponsive 2 out of every 3 times I depress it. If you can fix this issue, it deserves 5 stars.

if its sunny out its kinda tough to read but that doesn't stop her from having fun with it
I purchased this for my 3 year old daughter who loves to practice her letters and to be honest using washable markers is OK but she would get marker all over her hands, with this tablet there is no mess....She is kinda rough with things for being a 3 year old but we haven't had any issues with it. The only thing I wish was that it was a little brighter to see, if its sunny out its kinda tough to read but that doesn't stop her from having fun with it.

Perfect
I love it. I use different sized things to write on it for different thicknesses ... like a mechanical pencil with the lead not in it.. a clickable pen with the pen not out... a popsicle stick (craft one not sticky food one lol) ... I put a piece of ribbon through the loop at the top and hung it from a hook on my wall to use for quick memos or groceries we need
