I recently made the switch from a 5-blade cartridge razor to the WEISHI Nostalgic Adjustable Double Edge Safety Razor, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Yes, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, this razor delivers the best shave I’ve ever had.I use it on both my face and head, and the closeness of the shave is unmatched. I used Feather blades for my first go. I really love the weight, length and diameter of the handle. The opening operates smoothly (so far - it is new). I set the adjustment beginning at 1 and gradually got to 3, where it felt about right to me. Shave was good. I opened it a little to rinse it out as there was foam under the blade - no big deal. Its easier to load than my old standard razor, and nicer than the old Gillette butterfly razor that I inherited from my father. Didn't give it perfect rating for "value", which I assumed was cost, but it was money well spent.

I recently made the transition to this product from Harry's disposables as I was concerned over the waste that kind of razor generates. I was nervous about cutting my face up with this style razor, but as the name implies, it's quite safe and easy to use!I chose this razor because of its style and price and I don't regret it. It's got a satisfying heft, the matte black finish looks handsome and feels nice to the touch. While I didn't notice an enormous difference between the numbered settings, all around, I felt like I was getting a really close and comfortable shave, moreso than I'd ever gotten with disposables.Before purchasing, the butterfly top made me nervous. However, once I got to see/feel how this mechanism works I felt a lot better. The blade feels very secure once the top is closed.The only disappointment I have had with this razor is after the first shave, the razor head got clogged with hair, and there's no easy way to remove it. I kept looking for a latch or some trick to loosen it: swirling it under water, under the faucet, etc. Ultimately I had to get in there with a small pick and manually remove the clumps of hair by hand.Other than that, this is a great razor that I look forward to using for many years to come!

I’ve tried a couple of beginner safety razors and wasn’t quite happy with the closeness of the shave. So I thought I would try this adjustable razor.The length of the handle of this is perfect. My other razors I felt the handle was too short. Also this has a heft to it that the weight helps to shave better. I didn’t try the blades that come with this. I used Feather blades. WOW! This was the best, closest shave that I ever had. Better then those expensive multi-blade razors, better than the other expensive “English” safety razors. I’m definitely very happy with this razor. I started out with a setting of 4 and it was perfect.

There is a big problem with the adjustable part of this adjustable razor. The blade tray does not sit properly, it is tilted causing a large variation in blade gap along the edge of the razor which would make a shave very bad and dangerous. I have tried the so called Blade tray resetting maneuver numerous times with not one time the tray seating in the proper position. Sadly ill be returning this razor because it just doesn't do what it is supposed to, be adjustable And be safe to shave with.I was able to return my item and was told that they are working to improve any issues with their products and that a short handle version would be coming to market soon. im looking forward to that becasue i prefer the short handels over long. I would buy Another Weishi razor in the future, and will look for the adjustable again.

it's awesome and the best shave I've ever had I recommend you put it on level 2 cause this autistic man has sensitive skin and it shaves very well I would buy it again

The build quality is fine, it's the design that is not good.I recommend that you don’t purchase this. You’re better off with a single or twin blade disposable. If you want a decent safety razor with buy a vintage Gillette from eBay or spend a bit more and get a Merkur.I started with a Merkur Progress and loved it for 12 years. It was getting a bit grungy so I thought I’d try a shiny new Weishi. This thing is terrible. It gives a very poor shave and usually leaves me bleeding. I finally dropped the money and bought a Merkur FUTUR. It is amazing and I’ll never go back.TLDR: this Weishi is junk, don’t waste your money.

This is a solid, well-made, and all around attractive product. The razor is hefty and allows you to shave without any additional pressure. Changing blades is a breeze, and the adjustable head allows you to dial in how close of a shave you want. It's well made and looks very durable. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks (and 2 blade changes), but feel like this will last for years. Great value! Absolutely recommend.
