We wanted to get a jump start on our veggie garden by starting seeds this late winter and artificial light was neccessary. After researching several brands and styles, we landed on this based on the reviews and the size. The size of this stackable grow light box is perfect for small apartments or windowsills. I also like the compact, simple, modern style.The package arrived with all pieces neatly laid in the flat box (makes it easier for shipping!) and it was very easy to put together - no tools needed. The pieces fit together like puzzel pieces with a good snug fit for durability. Because these are made from manufactured wood, I was affraid to push to hard and break it but with careful, steady strength, they snapped into place.My favorite feature is the automatic timer! Most plants, especially vegetables, require 8-10 hours of sunlight a day. For this grow box, you plug it in (one plug for boths lights) and turn it on. That's it! It will automatically shut off after 16 hours then turn back on after 8 hours. A month later, my seeds have all taken off and growing strong! I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to start seeds or have herbs indoors. It also works well for succulents that require a lot of sun and you don't have south facing windows.

We are using this for Homeschooling and learning about herbs and their culinary and medicinal uses and it's working better than expected. It is nice and thin so it doesn't take up much space on my counters. Nice bright lights. Would definitely recommend and will probably be ordering a few for my succulents.

Arrived quickly, had my boyfriend put it together. He was afraid of how hard to push the pieces in but they fit securely and it’s pretty sturdy. I have it set up in our kitchen which does not receive enough daylight. Adds a nice night light in the evenings. Planted some lemon balm, cilantro, garlic chives, and basil. I hope this gives me some nice fresh herbs.

We liked this item a lot but bought it for some plants we currently have and they don’t fit. It’s really for starter plants it seems. So we will buy some smaller plants to add but it fits nicely on our countertop and we like the lighting element—doubles as a nightlight for those late night trips to the kitchen.

I bought it to grow some of my annuals over the winter since I have limited space on south-facing windowsills. So far so good, but let not the description of the material used for the frame fool you! It is really thin, and gives in when trying to connect the pieces, and partially cracked in one place. I'll keep it for the lights, and maybe think of making a stronger frame next season (although, I seriously doubt the lights will last past one winter season).No, I would not purchase again knowing how fragile the frame is. Had they actually built it out of the expected plastic (and not some "plasticky" cardboard), it would be a five-star product. With the frame being all junk, you're essentially paying for the lights, which may not even be that lasting to begin with - not worth the cost even for the lights!

I used these for a built in kitchen garden! I do not have a green thumb , but look how good these are doing! I’m going to set up a watering system with a timer, soo far we’re watering by hand which is hard to do in the small spaces. It is a tight fit for plants, my tomatoes are growing as a vine spilling downward, but it’s thriving so i don’t mind.We built the shelf to fit these on purpose. I’m loving the garden in the house and the lights create a nice ambiance.

I liked how this product went together and how stackable it is but the lights themselves are weak and really don't promote any kind of plant growth life in my opinion.
