Mattel Barbie Glam Bike! Barbie with Glam Bike

Product good- maybe not quite as sturdy as I expected- am a grandmother so not as familiar with Barbie products as frequent users.

I needed the bicycle for a sculpture. The doll was given to my niece after the project was graded and with the bike, she plays with this for hours.This purchase was a good one, because of the need of the bike for a sculpture and the second use, keeping a child happy.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday. She like's it, but it keeps falling apart. Not really worth the money.

Product fell apart as I unpacked the item. The front wheel broke off when I received it and the quality of the product was horrid.

You have to be extremely careful & teach your little ones when playing with this toy, otherwise it'll be frustrating. I would be totally disappointed if I hadn't gotten it for half price at a store. Definitely not worth the full price. It falls apart as soon as you undo the plastic rubber bands holding in its packaging. However, you can get it back together again with a combination of patience & a little strength (not too much though). It's fragile. However, the doll can indeed move her legs with the bicycle - as long as all of the plastic bands are cut off (it didn't work at first until I found 3 more sneaky plastic bands). Put something small in the basket & it'll bob along with the bike. The doll doesn't stay seated while riding. However, the doll can stay seated when the kick stand is down. It's a tricky toy. Still, it's unique & cute enough that the granddaughters will still play with it a little. Mostly, the bike stays parked next to the matching glamour house. The doll is played with a lot. The girls like it when I make the doll ride the bike because I've got the hang of it. However, they're not able to do it very well so that's frustrating for them when I'm not in the room playing with them. I was fortunate enough to buy it $11 so to me, this toy is worth it because the bike, doll, & her outfit are pretty & worth that much. However, since this toy is usually $22, it's not worth it. I bought mine cheaper because the box was very damaged (however the inside was completely intact & perfect). It's unfortunate that the bike falls apart easily & is flimsy. The bike helmet is never used because it makes the barbie's hair too messy (I made sure the girls understood that in real life, that's no excuse for not wearing a helmet when riding their bicycles). With the way this doll falls off her bike so much, she probably should wear that helmet... *sigh*. Summary: If you can get this toy half-price or cheaper somewhere, go for it: it's worth it. Otherwise, don't waste your money. I predict this toy will be at garage & yard sales in the near future, as most kids probably won't be playing with it much out of frustration.Note: I just updated my stars & this review: I recently discovered my 4 year old grandson loves the bike. He usually takes the barbie cars (minus the barbies)but last time he visited, he found the bike too. So I have to say that the bike is more durable that I realized. I'm glad I got this, as it has been played with a lot more than I expected by granddaughters' friends too.

We were so excited that these were on sale that we bought 3, one for our 6 year old daughter, and 2 for her friends as birthday presents. Now I feel bad we gave them to her friends. It looks so nice, and she loves the look of the Barbie, but I agree with the other reviews that once you get it out of the package (which is in itself a challenge) the product disappoints. The others forgot to mention that her head is plastic tagged to the box in three spots, and there is no way to get the plastic out of her head (we cut it as close to her head as we could without cutting her hair, and because the pieces were still pokey, we shoved them inside her head). As the others said, the bike pedal fell off, the front wheel falls off continuously, and the handle bars and basked too. Eventually after jamming the front wheel into the handle bars hard (out of frustration) they clicked together, and have now stayed put for over an hour. The box advertises that her legs move with the wheel, which if you hold it up and turn very carefully, they do, but it is too hard to move the wheel by just pushing down and trying to make her ride. We got Barbie to stay on, but her arms don't reach the handle bars very well. My daughter loves the Barbie, so we will keep it, but the bike riding will not happen as advertised. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because it looks really neat.

Ich hatte als Kind auch ein Barbie Fahrrad, das Rad ist sehr schön allerdings, bewegen sich die Beine der Barbie nicht richtig mit wenn sie mit dem Rad fährt. Die Barbie drauf zu setzen zu fahren und aufzupassen das sie die Hände am Lenker hält ist für mich als Mutter schon schwierig, für vierjährige finde ich unmöglich. Beim Einrasten in den Sattelhalter ist er mir sofort abgebrochen, obwohl ich es vorsichtig gemacht habe, wäre das meiner kleinen passiert hätte ich bestimmt mit ihr geschimpft obwohl sie bei dem Material garnichts dafür könnte. Haben es mit sekundenkleber geklebt. Die Barbie ist mit ihren Schlacker Beinen ganz schön obwohl sie nicht stehen kann. Würde es nicht empfehlen. Nach einiger Zeit des Gebrauchs muss ich leider hinzufügen das das Pedal oft abfällt, die Halterung für die Barbie leider auch! Ich würde es nicht mehr kaufen.

Unsere Tochter hat sich das Rad zu Ostern gewünscht und bekommen. Ich stimme einer Rezesion zu, die Verpackung ist eine mittelschwere Herausforderung, alles festgemacht sodaß wir min 10 Minuten gebraucht haben um Barbie und Rad aus der Verpackung zu bekommen.Die Barbie als solches ist sehr schön, auch das Zubehör. Die Hände halten nicht am Lenker was unsere Tochter (5) nicht störte. Füsse halten gut und das Rad läuft mit. Das befestigen der Barbie auf dem Rad mit der Klemme ist sehr schwer mit der Tendenz kaputt zu gehen!Uns ist aber nicht die Klemme kaputt gegangen, sondern die Fahrradgabel abgebrochen, somit ist der Spaß nun vorbei und das Kind traurig. Leider eine sehr dünnes Teil und wohl nicht zu reparieren....naja mal sehen was man da noch retten kann als Vater.

Für die Kleinen ist das ein tolles Spielzeug. Aber wie immer bei Matttel ist die Verpackung eine Katastophe. Warum reicht das nicht, den Artikel einfach zu verpacken? Nein, es muß so verpackt werden, dass man etliche Minuten braucht, um an den Inhalt zu gelangen. Und wenn man Glück hat, auch ohne Verletzung. Das ist ein Ärgenis.

Meine Tochter hatte sich zum Geburtstag eine Barbie mit Fahrrad gewünscht - und auch bekommen. Das Vorderrad hat nur wenige Tage gehalten, nicht wirklich zu empfehlen.
