2017 Silverado 1500. 5.3 Liter
Straightforward review here. 2017 Silverado 1500. 5.3 liter 4x4.It's a night and day difference in the driving experience. Brings back the feeling of a throttle cable. Transmission reacts way better. Well worth the money. I have an AFM/DOD delete added, and the truck feels like a V8 should finally. Gas mileage increased by 3mpg in Sport level 3. I'm sure it would be better at a lower setting. Overall, the AFM/DOD and the Power Commander should be the first purchases you make for these trucks.

Works good so far
Seems to work good so far. It does what I need it to. My truck (2017 Chevy 1500 5.3 6 speed) seemed to lack when I would be going up a hill. I would have to put the pedal down a lot before I get any response and then it would be too much pedal for my situation. This device fixed my issue and gave me my much needed middle ground. Hopefully it’ll work for you. I’ve had it for 1 day so I can’t say anything about long term.

High quality feel, works as it should
Bare in mind I just got this product today, but I've ridden probably 50 miles with it so far. It works really well, pretty much exactly as expected. I like the precision of it, you can really get it tuned in to your driving preferences. It also holds your setting whenever you turn the truck off, so if you leave it in sport+ you'll need to nerf it down if your wife is going to drive it after you. I would suggest if you're going to buy this product for a vehicle with AFM (8 cyl.-->4 cyl. Mode), I would buy something that deletes the AFM like the Range deleter or one of those OBDII tuners. I've got my truck dialed in pretty much perfect: City mode level 3, tow/haul mode engaged, and locked in to V8 mode. It's like a totally different truck. I don't have any performance mods like intakes or exhaust systems. My truck is a bare bones 5.3l. The controller is easy to hide away, just a little bigger than my key fob. The velcro sticky thing that it comes with seems to be of good quality. I've got mine hidden in the dead space just behind my column shifter. You might could go cheaper than this, $270 seems kind of steep, but everything about it seems to be high quality, even the packaging. You could probably buy a cheaper Chinese knockoff, but just keep in mind that this product is in series with you're go fast pedal and your throttle body...let that sink in for a minute.

Be very careful
Okay so maybe I just need to slow down to read this.. But from the package it says you can't change while driving which was fine cause I could see how that would cause problems. However what it should state is DO NOT CHANGE WHILE MOTOR IS RUNNING.Motor must be off, key in accessory/run or you will end up in limp mode with a check engine light and a bunch of fun warnings on the dash or in text depending on what you drive.Worth noting, if you do get that check engine light you can revert it back to the previous state/setting the Pedal Commander was in and it will allow you to drive. But to remove the check engine light I was able to disconnect the battery first thing the next morning, do a complete detail inside and out of my truck and reconnect the battery and it was gone. I don't think I needed to wait so long, but I figured it couldn't hurt since I was already cleaning my intake, and doing a complete detail the truck wasn't going anywhere for that time.Would buy again, for sure is much more responsive on the 2018 Silverado with the 5.3L. Wish I would have had one for my STI before I traded it for the truck!

Do not buy
There is little difference on my 2014 gmc 1500. There is also NO disengagement during backing up which sucks when your driveway is a hill. The one from Banks is better and has the backup feature. I had issues with the product and customer service was horrible so bad I sent it back. This caused check engine lights and bad running conditions.. after clearing codes it would run normal for a little while then mess up again. You also can't control it completely from the app as it states it's just not worth the money.
