Works great
Ive had several different roll out nest boxes. This is the 2nd one of these I've bought. They're easy to built, the roll out angle is just enough for the eggs to roll out but not enough that the chickens don't like them, the part the eggs end up in is deep enough that the persistent egg eaters can't get to the eggs (at least my little demon can't) and they're easy to hang. I do put a perch in front of them because the chickens seem to like something to perch on before stepping into the box. They would sit on the lid to the roll out if I didn't have the perch, but having the perch seems to help keep them from pooping on the lids.

Zip tie the rollout trays to the box to avoid hens working the trays loose
Overall good design. I installed the box in a pen with 4-month-old pullets to familiarize them with the box before they start laying. They like to take turns jumping on and then off the green lid over the egg trap. All of the rattling works the rollout tray loose from the metal tab holding it in. By late afternoon every day, one or both rollout trays are on the ground. A simple and inexpensive solution is to zip tie the rollout tray to the back of the box. I used an 8-inch zip tie in the photo. A 12-inch would be better and easier to install. I will need to cut and replace the ties in order to remove the trays for cleaning.

Read This Review. Fixed my egg Eaters.
Love love these boxes! Fast shipping which I was surprise I ordered 2 the first time just to make sure my girls would use them esp since they always had boxes with shavings in them I would recommend Not using any hay or shavings in your boxes if you want your eggs to roll, which roll right down with ease to the bottom. Well I ordered 2 more a couple wks later. Probably will need to order 1 more set, I have over 70 hens. These boxes hold up very well. And mine get used a lot. Some of my girls are good size I have a Cochin and she fits a little tight although she can lay eggs in it. I still have some girls that go broody and want to sit in those boxes so I would say they find them comfy. I have another area with regular boxes for those stubborn ladies that want to be mommies. A Great buy. The egg trays are very easy to take out and wash. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

Chickens still can reach the eggs !
If you have stubborn egg eaters like me and thought you would save yourself the trouble of building a roll away nesting box , you like me were mistaken. It’s very shallow and my little feathered heathens reach right into the box and eat the eggs. However it is sturdy and easy to clean . So if you just want a simple nesting box sure buy it.

Great.
We have had this for several months. It's holding up great. I really like the way it anchors to the wall. I was able to easily remove it when I needed to modify door to the coop. The roof slant is sufficient to keep chickens off it. Eggs do actually gently roll toward the protected area. WI am not using any fluff or mats in the nesting boxes and the chickens seemed fine with that. Very easy to knock out any poop from the nesting boxes if naughty chicken sits overnight. Was easy to assemble. I got 3 boxes for 14 hens and it's working well. Five stars. No complaints. Worth the money.

worth every penny
I hesitated to buy these because of the cost. The money you save in straw or chips or whatever bedding you use in your normal nesting boxes will pay for these in no time. If you are wanting something for just egg production and not for hens to brood then this is perfect. I liked it so much I bought another one and talked my neighbor into buying 2 as well.
