The parts and directions are great, and well labeled but the holds don’t all line up properly, so it takes some muscle to force things where they need to go. I’d suggest having a second set of hands. The little plugs suck just fyi, you have to jam them in which scratches the silver finish. It’s a super comfy chair though.

I have been buying, putting together, and sending to goodwill or giving to friends chair after chair for the last 2 years. I feel like goldie locks. I work from home and game, I need a chair that can be used for more than an hour, so really comfy seat, good back support, arms. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but I now know you get what you pay for so "fortune" is relative. I wanted it to look nice, but I now know that trying to be stylish is a waste of money for my needs. I am average height, 5'4". Wheels on chairs that said they were for average people added 3" most of the time. This one is PERFECT. Wheels on and I can sit and my feet are flat on the floor. So, getting rid of food rests and other things that were awkward under the desk trying to help. It's comfortable. I will say, I just got it, so I may have to revisit this review and followup. It was super easy to put together. And based on all of my previous chair purchases in the last year, I am overly qualified to say that the quality of this chair for the money is VALUE. Maybe the $400-1000 chairs would be more comfortable, but I just can't wrap my brain around that price. Army rests are a little low. Wish they were higher or adjustable, but I can live with it.

This is the second Serta Gaming Desk Chair that I ordered during the past few weeks. I liked the first one well enough to order the second one. It is not a weak chair. It is not a heavy duty chair. It is sturdy enough to hold average size people. The second chair delivered here came with a few little flaws. The flaws are worth mentioning but they were not deal breakers for me. I noticed a couple of sections on the molded part of the chair that were off a bit. One piece is slightly jagged and another piece has a minor imperfection. Some flaws were in the base of the chair where few people will see it or care about it. There was also a slight problem with the threaded material on the top piece but we were able to repair that easy enough. I am hoping the threading stays together well because it would look horrible if that starts unraveling. Once you get the chair put together you won't want to take it apart. The little plastic caps that are given to cover the screws break apart some times but they add a few extras in case those are needed. The screws that have to be placed in the chair when it's being built get a little tough to tighten. It's also a bit difficult to connect the arms of the chair to the back of the chair but it eventually works if you keep trying. Read the directions and all should go well.

First let me start off by saying i have Achilles tendonitis and my previous chair was causing issues. with this in mind i found this chair amongst many and from what i could see it looked comfy and sturdy, BOTH OF WHICH IT IS NOT. there is extra cushion where your thighs rest but none for your bum. The chair feels rickety and cheap, there is a lot of popping cracking noises and the bar that locks the chair to keep it from rocking is useless as it will only lock the chair upright about 5% of the time. Now on to putting it together, that was fun. issues that i found where as follows, 1: holes didnt match from 1 piece to the next so there was alot of interesting attempts made to make stuff fit when it clearly was manufactured extremely poorly. most of the screws attempted to strip with the littlest of effort. in the end the chair was put together but i made 1 of my children sit in it first as they are smaller and out of fear of the entire chair just breaking as i said it felt extremely cheap. in the end..... im 5'8 215lbs and this chair feels like im stuck at the childrens table at a wedding, too small , too uncomfortable and most importantly i feel as if it will break with the least amount of effort on my part and at its price tag of 185$ i expected more ... NOT THE RITZ CARLTON but atleast something a bit sturdier and more comfortable for my bum.

Not even a week in and it’s losing it plumpness. I weight 155lbs and it’s not very supportive in any area. Back, cushion, arm rests are all stiff and hard. May return

This chair is exactly what I hoped it would be. Assembly wasn't difficult at all, I did it by myself in about 30 minutes. I've had it for several months now, and I've noticed no signs of damage or deterioration with consistent and rough usage. The cushion isn't exceptionally thick, but it's not meant to be. The chair breathes well, which is extremely important to me, as I get warm very quickly. I have no substantial complaints, this chair is exactly what I expected it to be. It's not claiming to have any more customizable options like adjustable chair angle or adjustable back angle. I absolutely love the look, it looks just like it does in the pictures, if not better. If I could get the look with a more complex set of adjustment options, I'd be an even happier customer. But in the meantime, it's solid.

I read a lot of reviews for a lot of chairs. It's a very difficult decision to make. It's a big financial commitment. A friend of mine recommened I purchase a Serta chair because they have one and they love it. This one arrived fairly quickly. The box was damaged, but everything was wrapped so no parts were damaged. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble (pay CLOSE attention to which ways the parts of the seat are facing as I had accidentally put the seat on backwards!). Once I sat in it, I knew I had made the right decision. It was like sitting in a cloud. I used to own a $100 Ikea office chair with no support. I purchased the unpadded version of this (which is a little misleading, the regular version had plenty of padding). The reclining feature is great and you can lock it in so you don't have to worry about it reclining on you when you don't want to. It has a great height adjustment. The arms are padded and right where I want them to be. It's also cat approved.

Una excelente silla, compare decenas de modelos diferentes (literal) y escogí esta, no tenia pensado gastar tanto, pero al pensar que paso casi 8 horas diarias trabajando en ella durante 5 días a la semana creo que vale la pena gastar un poco más para estar cómodo y cuidar tu espalda. Me llego en solo 3 días desde que la pedí, y la arme en menos de 20min. Una de las mejores compras que haya hecho.

I just finished putting it together so I can't really speak of its longevity but I am really loving this chair. It is really comfortable and looks amazing. The chair feels very high quality. I shopped around a lot and tried many chairs. After feeling unfulfilled with the options in my local stores I took a chance buying this one from Amazon. I don't think any of the other chairs I tried in store were as nice as this one and it is less expensive. I am extremely happy with the purchase. Five stars.

Fácil de armar, y muy cómodo, la verdad por el precio pensé que no iba a ser de muy buena calidad pero supero mis expectativas, en definitiva muy recomendado

So far I like it a lot. Very stylish and comfortable. It's a little warm so if you are sitting for long periods expect to get warm. Not unbearable just worth noting as my last chair was a mesh back and it was great for longer stints of work. Overall a great quality managers/executive chair or for a boardroom.

Same model at Staples was $258 Got this one on sale for $138 Very satisfied. Only issue is the hard plastics on top of each leg. Uncomfortable when resting feet on legs. Overall nice quality chair. Assembly was straight forward with precise clear English instruction.
