I washed this bottle by hand before use, and the first day I used it I loved it! No leaks, plus the lid and spout were great. After using, I put it in the top rack of the dishwasher on normal setting and it melted completely to the point of being no longer usable. I didn't figure there would be an issue as the description says things like 'safe for warm water' and 'durable'. I was looking forward to more than just one use out of this bottle. Really disappointing.

I use this for my dog at the dog park. My Coleman jug is currently sitting in my daughter's car, in a sense, being held hostage. So I needed another jug. Yes, I should have bought another Coleman, they are excellent. But I saw this, went with it, got it yesterday. I paid 10 bucks, if it worth more than 3 bucks, I'd be shocked. I also, my mistake, thought it was a gallon jug, it's not, only 1/2 gallon. So it will go as back up once the Coleman comes home. I'd save my money potential buyers and buy water at the grocery store. I bought 2 1 gallon Crystal Springs water for .79 each. Yea, they saw me coming. My mistake.

Good bottle for daily use. Large mouth makes it easier to clean.Update, 28 Feb 20. As with all plastic bottles it began to smell of anaerobic bacteria after awhile. And the time in between cleanings got shorter and shorter. I believe the problem to be the handle area. Which is harder to clean. I’m sticking with stainless steel from here on out, despite the added weight.

So far, so good! It doesn’t leak so far, the mouth hole is fine (someone else was complaining about that and if you don’t try to put your mouth above the whole opening it’s fine) the position of the handle is great, and the lid seals nice. Maybe a little to nice? It’s hard to get open. The plastic is a little harder/thinner so if it’s dropped in a hard floor I can see it breaking and as other people have said it does ‘sweat’ if you put ice in it. It’s annoying but even my Igloo ‘sweated’ and that was insulated.

So... this jug seemed pretty sturdy and held up under normal circumstances but this is by no means a durable container. Had our jug sitting on the couch, maybe 14in from the floor, and when it hit the ground it shattered and that gallon of water went everywhere. Great jug up until that point, if we'd gotten some extra life out of it I'd maybe order another one, but after the first one broke so easily, I don't think so.

The plastic is very thin, within the firs week of me using it everyday I notice small cracks at the rim of the bottle where water was seeping thru. Its a shame because its hard to find water bottles that hold this much water when your trying to drink a lot of water per day.

The bottle is nice quality, the problem is it leaks big time. It leaks when you tilt the bottle, and the top cap doesn't stay tight no matter how tight you try to tighten it, any light drop on the bottle will fly away the cap, spill water all over. I love the bottle, and hate the top cap.

Love this water bottle! I had another large one I bought from Amazon but it broke so I switched to this one. It's much better as you can actually fit your hand in it to clean. It also doesn't make a whistling sound when you drink out of it like the other one did (from the air hole it had). All in all it's exactly what I wanted and helps me stay hydrated!
