Gym life changing
I started a program where I squat 5x a week. I noticed my quads just above the knees started feeling like jelly after 3 months. A friend of mine suggested I try his Rehbands for a set. Wow, it was day and night. I definitely felt support, and, after reading around the internet, bought myself a pair of these Slingshots. It comes in a pair, and feel like quality material. Some reviews mention a smell, but it was nothing that was overpowering or bothersome for me.What it did give me was more confidence to add more weight, and that extra rep in subsequent workouts. I wouldn't say you *need* these to squats, much like you don't need lifting shoes or a belt, but these items have all definitely allowed me to "go for it" because of the support I felt. Please mind your form at all times, though. I can see how people may start relying on their gym gear (no not that kinda "gear"). That being said, I don't think I can go back to not wearing these for any lower body workouts. Drank the Kool-Aid on this one

I had to return these as they were too small even after measuring my leg. Could not get them up past my calves. I don't have ginormous calved wither. Bummer...

I just got these, so my 5 stars don't reflect durability or long term use, but I wanted to respond regarding size. A number of people have talked about sizing being off, but mine are spot on. At Mark Bell's site, they have a sizing chart. They give comfort sizing and competition sizing, and my 16-inch knees fall right at the border between L and XL in the comfort sizing column. I went with the L size, and they're more or less perfect. I do have to fold the top down and bottom up to narrow the sleeve to a two-inch band to pull them up to my knees, then unfold them. This makes putting them on easy enough, and it should protect from the damage along the top seam that people get from yanking them up from the top. Also, regarding my size choice, my calves are huge.

Purchased these in March. When I received them they were a little too loose to make any significant difference on my squat weight. However I continued to use them for keeping my knees warm during heavy squats an average of approximately once a week. By the first week of September the neoprene has broken down on both sleeves and pulled apart close to the stitching. Always washed in a garment bag (maybe 5-6 times total). Guess I'll try SBD's next.

Great knee sleeves
Great knee sleeves. A little thick and can develop quite a bit of sweat, but overall these knee sleeves will provide enough support to your exercises.

no sleeves compare to these
Been powerlifting since i was 17, now 27. I've used elitefts knee sleeves and rehbands and all sorts of knee wrap brands. These slingshot knee sleeves are incredible. Not too stuff at all, bery comfortable actually but i did order an XL even thiugh my knee circumference was in the "L" range. I would order a size up for daily use and maybe the exact size for a contest or big PR day. I hit an easy PR the forst time i wore these and couldve easily jumped another 20lbs on that pr. Highly, highly recommend these, both to help with tendonitis and to prevent it as well.

Truth
Honestly... I have never used any sleeves and I buy these because I hear they are "great" I'm returning them. These are a waste of money
