I have iPhone 16 Pro and I had been searching for a wireless solution for my Sony Head unit XAV-AX1000, I tried another wireless CarPlay adapter here from Amazon and it worked about 50% meaning I could not hear Siri when I asked her something. I plugged in they Carlin Kit adapter and "wa-la" it worked for everything in CarPlay so if you are searching for a solution for your head unit I would say give it a try especially if it a Sony radio.

Worked well at first …..Died after 30 days

It worked perfectly with CarPlay, but I ran into trouble getting Android Auto to connect. I’m not sure if the issue was trying to use both phones at once, or if I needed to disconnect one device before setting up the other. After a few attempts to get both my iPhone and Samsung running simultaneously, I gave up. Unfortunately, since my wife needed her phone to connect as well, I had to return it. That said, I’d absolutely consider buying it again just to keep in my daily-driver—great device otherwise.

I've tried a few CarPlay adapters and will say that of them all, this one was the most responsive which I appreciated. The issue with this adapter is that intermittently (1 of 4 uses), the screen on my head unit just goes completely black. It's almost as if the USB adapter just locks up. Removing the adapter and reconnecting it usually resolves the issue but it's annoying to have to keep doing that. For this reason I had to stop using it. I love the design though, just wish it was more reliable.

The connection is great. Amazing boot up time and very little to no lag at all! I had an early model years ago from a different company and i couldn't stand the lag. Really glad i made the upgrade

It’s not a bad dongle, but it’s not great. I have owned several CarLinkit dongles over the years. This one has the worst connectivity of the ones I have owned. It will frequently cut out. Even when the phone is within 2 feet of the device.
