This isn’t just a keyboard—it’s an experience. And now I’m typing like royalty.
I think I might be in love—with a keyboard. The Keychron K2 HE is just that good. From the moment I unboxed it, I knew this wasn’t your average typing tool. It’s perfectly weighted—not so light it slides around like a nervous chihuahua, and not so heavy it feels like it needs its own gym membership. It’s solid, stable, and a joy to use.Typing on it? Absolute bliss. Each keystroke delivers a smooth, rich “thock”—like tapping little velvet pillows that somehow boost productivity. It’s quiet enough for shared spaces, but still gives that satisfying tactile feedback that reminds you: yes, you are better than membrane keyboards.Aesthetically? Stunning. Sleek design, tasteful wood accents, and a look that says “I read Wired and have good taste.” The wireless connection is rock-solid—Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz—and the battery lasts so long I started forgetting it even has a battery.Customization is next-level. Adjustable actuation and dual-function keys make it feel like the keyboard was custom-made for me.And here's the kicker: I loved it so much, I went out and bought the Keychron K4 HE QMK Wireless Gaming Custom Mechanical Keyboard too. Because when something this good exists in a bigger size, you upgrade your obsession.

SMOOTH
Wanted to try out some magnetic switches and I do not regret getting this keyboard at all. Out of the box everything is in perfect working order. The build quality is great!Everything feels super sturdy and the wood accents on the edges do not feel cheap. The included key caps are made of decent plastic and don't have any gross shine through from the RGB. The switches feel sooo smooth and creamy making the typing experience amazing. The overall footprint is about the same as the membrane Logitech MX mini I was using before. All-in-all, a great little boardThe only complaint I have is that I would have liked more robust lighting options, but what's here is fine. Theres plenty of modes to switch through, just nothing really looks quite right with this design. I'm not huge on RGB anyway so it will mostly just remain static.

First Keychron Experience
I've been using this as my main for about a month now. Set multiple profiles for switch actuation for shorter throws during gaming sessions and another for full throws for work. I absolutely love this board - for all use cases. I can't believe the price point either. No comment on the wireless performance because I only use it wired.I only have "2" minor complaints.. The chassis is not aluminum; it's plastic. You have to pick it up and feel it to know this. It doesn't look it at a glance. Although for the price point this isn't a complaint. I just thought I'd mention it. The other "complaint" is more of a preference. I'm not overly fond of the size or shape of the surface of the keycaps. Personally i need something with a bit more surface area. Again, this is preference - I have big hands/fingers. I'm sure the average finger sized of us will find these perfectly fine. Now for the sound. I wouldn't use "thocky" to describe it.. but it is pleasant enough. Crispy is the word that comes to mind. Probably due to the plastic chassis? All of my other boards are aluminum and it is a different kind of note. Not bad, just different than what I'm used to. I haven't felt the need to take it apart and do any modding to alter the sound profile yet - as I was originally assuming I would. In my opinion that means Keychron is doing a great job here. I probably will down the road because why not tinker? I just don't think it's necessary out of the box.As a first time Keychron buyer - they got me on the hall effects and general aesthetics - this is a great first experience for me with their products. At this price, I can't recommend this board enough.

This keyboard is the best I've used in a long while!
My work career has involved a keyboard of some kind, from the time I learned to type on a manual typewriter in high school. My professional career included word processing on both stand-alone and regular computer systems (that's a total of 50 years). I've used all types of keyboards (I fondly remember the original IBM PC as a favorite). Lately, I've been looking for a keyboard that would give me a great typing experience without breaking the bank. I tested several manual switch keyboards, but this was the first magnetic switch. The typing on this gives me the familiar feedback of both sound and feeling that I loved in the IBM. It's heavier than I expected, but that adds to the solid feel the keyboard has as I use it.This offers great functionality with the ability to switch between 2.4GHz/Bluetooth/wired connections. The keys are responsive, and the spacing is great for typing at something more than hunt-and-peck speeds. I prefer the soft-white lighting behind the keys, and the clear lettering on the caps also speaks to it's quality. All this to say that this has become my new favorite, hands down, for general typing use. I don't game, so I can't speak for what it might be able to do there, but if you are looking for a great quality keyboard that will make typing a pleasant experience (again ??), without costing the proverbial arm and leg, this is a great choice!

Skip the Best Buy Brands, this is True Top Quality
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Keychron makes some of the best high quality keyboards you can find. This was a perfect fit with my Steam Deck and for my work labtop. Having the option to chose either a 2.4gz, Bluetooth, or wired connection is luxurious. The keys feel amazing and the magnetic mechanical keys are a step up from the old cherry style. Great for both typing and gaming. I don't know that I will buy another keyboard not named Keychron ever again.
