Well made
Good product. I actually bought a mint quality used and saved a fair amount of money. It essentially looked unused. Traveled with this on a plane. Wheels easy and is very sturdy. It is very important to check the sizing as this will not fit certain Golf club bags.

Absolute BEAST
Finally upgraded my golf travel case, and this beast is the best. Protects my bag and clubs with zero stress, and even with all my gear it stays under 50 lb, perfect for flying. The lock-and-key feature also keeps me totally stress-free while traveling with thousands of dollars worth of equipment. I got the XL for my staff bag—if you have a smaller bag, go with a smaller size so your clubs don’t rattle around. Tough, roomy, and worry-free.

A HARDSHELL case
Great case. I only use this when my clubs go on an airplane. This is a hardshell case. A lot of cases out there advertise “hard shell” but often the top is some flimsy material that will perhaps allow damage to the heads of your clubs. The attachment on the top either zips or snaps onto the hardshell ( mid to lower) portion of a bag. Not this one!! I bought the bag I am reviewing because it is HARD plastic from top to bottom. Make sure you check the interior dimensions and measure against the bag that you enjoy taking with you. My cart bag is too large for this case. With effort, I can get my cart bag in, but latching and locking is very very difficult. Therefore, I have to use a much smaller bag if I take a lot of extras like my shoes and extra balls. I’ve heard people complain about the balance when rolling this bag in the airport. I have never had a problem whatsoever as the bag rolls and glides somewhat easily. There are other models out there with very well designed, very well engineered leg extensions. These do provide easier roll ability, but they do not come in a 100% hard shell package. Great Bag to protect your clubs.

Good case but wish wheels and handles were sturdier.
This is a wonderful case with a really good fit and finish. I had to return mine as it just barely didn't fit in my trunk (I was able to get it in once but it was like completing a 5000 piece puzzle). I drive a 2015 Kia Cadenza which has a quite large trunk, I was just unable to get it in the trunk opening confidently. This was also a concern because if you rent a car you may have the same issues and you can't exactly take the clubs out and fold up the case. I would be concerned taking this case on trip with a rental car involved if there is more than two people going because the case may have to go in the back seat. Second issue. The hands and wheels are weak points that are cheaply made and designed to be replaced. Unfortunately the wheels are riveted on so you may have to do some drilling and construction to replace them if they break on you as noted in other reviews. The handles are held on by nylon bolts that can be easily replaced. The one thing I noticed that you may want to check when you get the case is the foam wasn't perfectly pressed down in my case. There was plenty of glue, I just pressed it down and it stuck nicely. I'm just stating this so you don't accidentally goof up the foam when using the first time. I actually really like the latches on this case. They appear to be made of a strong nylon that should probably last for life. The latches work extremely well and give me confidence that they won't pop open. I am going to order the standard case (non deluxe) and I believe that will fit in my car easier. The large hump in the bottom of the case is cumbersome and I don't need the extra space. I value my clubs and it appears SKB has good warranty service. Overall, I highly recommend this case if you value your clubs. It should last a long time and I think it will make flying or even traveling in a car with multiple bags a more worry-free experience. I would have given this case a 4 star rating but the warranty service appears good and the fit and finish is the best in this case category, so 5 stars it is.

Doesn't fit cart bags
Does not fit a car bag as advertised. If you have ANYTHING in the pockets, your cart bag will not fit. It smashes down the front pockets. I have an ask echo cart bag, hardly the largest cart bag out there and it barely fits if nothings in the bag but clubs. And they even say it'll fit a staff bag. I completely doubt that. The pictures appear to be an empty bag with clubs in it. Do not buy this if you're looking to put a cart bag in here at all. For the cost there's FAR better travel cases out there

Very Strong Case, Great Protection, Wheels need to be stronger
UPDATE: Replacing the wheel was not too difficult, and when I arrived home I decided to purchase an extra replacement wheel and drill out the other wheel that was still riveted. I also keep a multi-function screwdriver in my bag just in case the wheel breaks again. About 2 or 3 months ago, my bag arrived with a busted wheel at baggage claim. Thankfully my airline repaired it at no-charge. Additionally, I found some replacement screws at my local hardware store that were slightly longer and replaced the factory ones on the handles, along with locking nuts. I haven't had a problem with these in over a year. I am going to bump my rating from 3 to 4 stars for the following reasons: - The replacement parts are reasonably priced - Replacing the wheels is relatively easy - The bag has survived 50+ flights and dozens of road trips - SKB Customer Service has been great I have taken this case on dozens of trips since I bought it in June 2015. The case has been great, fits my large Sun Mountain C-130 Cart bag, range finder, and a pair of shoes. It is a snug fit, but it all goes. The case provides exceptionally protection for your clubs and the build quality is very good. The handles are very comfortable when pulling it as well. However, there are 2 things that need to be fixed. 1) The handle in the middle of the case has one of the screws come loose. So far my handle has not been broken, but it is very difficult to move the case around (particularly when lifting into a vehicle) when the handle is hanging by a single screw. On the plus side, the screw is attached with a washer and lock-nut inside the case, so once I find those in the bottom of the case I can re-attach the handle, but it is still a hassle. 2) On my current trip, when I arrived at my destination and started walking to the rental car lot I noticed my travel case was not rolling smoothly. Upon inspection, I noticed the rivet holding the wheel in is out about 1/4-3/8". The housing seems to be ok, but the wheel rivet/axle is not and causes the wheel to be tilted and rub. I just ordered a replacement wheel + housing and will be trying to replace it this weekend, but I am not looking forward to drilling out the rivets. I hope good instructions are included. I had read another review or 2 on Amazon about this problem and figured they had abused their bags, but now that it happened to me as well I am wondering if the wheel design is not strong enough for the weight of the bag + clubs, or if it was bused by the airline, or both. For the price I am paying for this case, I would expect the wheels to be a little easier to replace rather than requiring me to drill out the rivets, and then I am very concerned about having the problem of another customer where the housing attachment starts to weaken after replacing.

Great case for club protection
Nothing worse than sitting in a window seat and watching golf clubs get loaded in a plane. Soft side bags mean your clubs don’t stand a chance. This case is close to indestructible. Great space for an oversized stand bag, shoes, and more. Easy to wheel from car to baggage handling. TSA approved lock keeps everything secure. I AirTag the case and my bag just in case it gets lost. Five trips now and the outside looks like the it has been through the worst of it, but my clubs arrive each time safe and secure. Going to try club shipping for a trip overseas and I will put this case to the test for sure. If you love your clubs, get this case. Best value for protection and peace of mind.

Hard is better than soft.
exactly what you think it is, a hard shell case for your bag of clubs. closures feel super secure and solid. Been through 2 soft club glove like bags and would now never go back. wheels make it super easy to transport.
