Eye opening
The honesty and compassion in Kaveh Golestan's lens on his world and society is praiseworthy. In a world where the the weak and meek are despised he stood up and showed kindness.

Great Iranian Photographer
Kaveh Golestan was one of Iran's greatest photographers and videographers. He worked mainly for the Western press for such outlets as Time Magazine and the BBC. Yet he never left his country for permanent exile, through all the extremely hard times. This is an extremely beautiful book. He was a wonderful, deep human being. He died after stepping on a land mine in the last Iraq war while on assignment for the BBC.
