I use to wear the velcro version but it was very difficult to put on in a hurry and you had to play with the fit to make sure the velcro didn't scratch my skin and there were not bumps under my shirt. Too much work for a finished looked that I did not like. This corset fits smoothly and comfortably.---What I love----Straps: They are double stitched. I have had too many experiences where the strap breaks and usually at the worst time. The straps are thick and look well secured.-True to size: I got a size up and it was not very snug on the tightest hook. A medium fits snug and there is still room for me to adjust if I lose weight. One can hope lol-Sauna for sure! Within 5 minutes I started sweating from wrestling with the hooks-Corset: Makes a huge difference having the corset the the zipper. I feel support and shapes me nicely but due to the stretchy fabric, I am not suffocating and it is comfortable while working out or playing with my kids.-Look under shirt: It is noticeable but not super bulky like the velcro versions. It looks very smooth on the back, but the front is the noticeable due to the zipper.-Silk like trim: I have sensitive skin when sweating and the cheaper versions of this makes me break out from the edge of the trainer rubbing on my skin. This trainer has a silk trim that is very soft on my skin and so far no breakouts.---Suggestions----Not something you can put when on a hurry. I guess with practice one may get faster, but it took me awhile to get all the hooks right.-If anyone has extra fat in the front of your arm pit (don't know how else to describe it) it does push it out and the strap rubs on it, specially when moving my arms. I do not think I will wear this to a zumba class on its own. I need to put a tank top under it or it will definitely irritate my skin.Overall, I really really really like this trainer for working out and everyday use when in the house. The hooks is something I am getting use to and hope with time I will get better and faster.

I’m 5’4, 189 pounds. I ordered a large and it fit perfectly. I was nervous to buy because of the reviews, but I love it so far. I’ve been using it for a week and there has been no damage to the hooks or anything like that.

I love the fit and back coverage. It does shift a little with high impact exercises. I'm not sure if I would call this a waist trainer but more of a sweat vest.

I got a size down and it fits perfectly!! No zipper issues or hook issues.

Fits as I ordered. Really should of ordered a medium just to make it have some compression. But fits well and can be hidden under my clothes. Only get bulky on the back
