The best controller for casual gamers
I'm a casual gamer. I don't play online third person shooters or anything super intense, but I'm big on finding products that offer good quality for the price. If you're a casual gamer like me, I can't imagine why you'd buy any controller but this one. It's solid and well-made, has good battery life, and offers some premium features like rumble vibration and the ability to turn on the Switch. The textured grip feels nice, and it's comfortably sized for both me (an adult with average hands) and my 5-year-old son. The buttons and triggers feel really great to press, and in general I just enjoy using it.Sure, there are few bells and whistles that some gamers will want (programmable buttons, etc). and I REALLY wish they'd release the Bluetooth/Switch version of this with Hall effect joysticks like they have with the 2.4G version. But this is a very solid basic controller that does everything I need it to and does it really well, all for a somewhat unbelievable price.I've bought two of these, and if I need a third I'll buy another (or if they release it with Hall effect joysticks).

Affordable, quality, perfect Switch 2 controller
Insanely well made, comfortable, hall joysticks (no more drift), wireless works instantly with Switch 2. Rumble is significant. All for $30, awesome. Why can't everything work this well and be this affordable?

Love the joystick configuration with it further to the left (closer to the thumb)
I ostensibly bought this for my daughter, but I like the layout with the joystick all the way on the left vs the d-pad, so this goes well with the other controllers for variety. The joystick being on the left is especially good for my daughter though with her small hands. I spent some time unsuccessfully trying to update the firmware before to connect it to the switch 2 before I just tried connecting it. It worked out of the box, I just thought I had to update it because I had to do the same thing with a pro controller I had from a few years ago. That old controller (bought it 3 years ago from 8bitdo) being updateable and compatible with the switch 2 is a huge selling point for for me in regards to this company, the controllers are high quality, competitively priced, and they have extensive support on their website.

Solid Build and Great Battery Life – Just Needs a Better Grip
I’ve been using the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller (Blue) for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s an excellent piece of hardware. The build quality feels solid and premium, especially for the price. The buttons, refined D-pad, and hall effect joysticks are super responsive, and the 6-axis motion control and rumble work seamlessly with the Switch. One of the biggest positives for me has been the battery life—it lasts much longer than I expected on a single charge. I can game for days without needing to plug it in, which is a huge plus. That said, the one downside is the texture of the outer shell. It’s not uncomfortable, but it does feel a bit slick, especially during long sessions. I really wish 8BitDo offered a silicone sleeve or grip cover to improve the tactile feel and help with grip. It would make the controller perfect. All in all, it’s a great controller with impressive performance and endurance, especially at this price point. With just a bit of added attention to ergonomics or accessories, it would be unbeatable.

Amazing Budget Controller for Switch
Snagged 2 of these new during a sale for ~$20 each. Couple months in and they have been working perfectly as intended.Though some issues are that it can’t charge with the Ultimate 2C controller dock, its settings cannot be configured with 8BitDo’s app(also meaning the rumble is always active, cannot be altered, and shakes A LOT), and joysticks may pop off during more intensive play sessions(they are detachable).Despite the issues, it is more than well worth the price with nice buttons & bumpers, smooth-moving joysticks, decent ergonomics, easy connectivity with no noticeable input delay, and no drift whatsoever. If it is ever on sale again and you are in need of switch controllers, especially ones that you won’t have to care too much about, I would highly recommend getting this controller.

Better Than the "Pro Controller"?
Functions just as good as the pro controller and betterIronically, the Nintendo "pro controller" is notorious for having a horrible D-pad despite the fact that Nintendo was the literal innovators of the patent over 40 years ago. How is the "pro controller" 's D-pad so bad? Any old school 2-D platformer OR fighting game fan will tell you how important it is to press Left and not also go Up or Down. Or Press Down and not also be pressing diagonally to the Right or Left. This is the glaring flaw in the official and too expensive pro controller. This 8bitdo Ultimate C controller has a D-pad that works as good as Nintendo's USE to work. It also has gyro (motion) controls and all the buttons are easy to navigate due to their placement. It's super easy to sync to your Switch, has a long battery life, feels good in the hands and built well.. I had to buy 4 other Switch controllers until I found this one. It's better than Nintendo's own controller and it's half the price. I never thought that I'd be saying that one day, but it's true. For those frustrated with the official Nintendo Pro Controller's bad D-Pad, buy this instead. Easily 5 Shining Stars.
