Nice kit, cuts very well and I haven't lost the spring yet. The spring is very helpful in clearing the polo bit out of the hole saw, saves a lot of time. The case is annoying, it seems too nice to throw away, but it is so wasteful on space. I would highly recommend you get some cutting fluid with these if you intend to drill sheet metal, they cut much better and last longer.

Perfect kit for professional use! most sizes that are needed for cable glands, Great ton have individual arbours so can quickly swap "bit". Only downside of these is you can't stack a smaller one and a bigger one to make a small hole bigger (and centering it) due tot he being the "stubby" version. you just have to eye-ball and persist with that.

I normally go for armeg cutters which may have a slight edge on speed. However these are built much, much better. The hole cutter sits on a collar/flange/base which is part of the pilot drill. This means no slipping like the armeg version. After a while the armeg one would skip past the grub nut and then is basically compromised and never works properly again. This can't happen with the starrett version the original and superior cutter now they have caught up on design.

Not bad and they do the job. Don't find them as good as armeg and tend to lose a few teeth every cut, even using cutting oil.

Used all sizes on 12mm ply , cut either side on slow speed for 32/ 40mm , faster on the smaller cutters. still sharp, would never use on hard metal through but possibly aluminium sheet

Must have hole cutters allows you to bore a hole in metal when space doesn't allow for a conventional hole cutter. Care has to be taken as when cutter is blunt it costs a little more to replace. But still well worth having as it will get you out of trouble when nothing else can. Must have product at great price for kit.
