- DIRECTIONS: Pour 8 ounces freshly boiled distilled water over 1 - 2 teaspoons of herbal tea in reusable muslin bag. Cover and let steep 10-15 minutes. Squeeze out bag and hang to dry. Sweeten tea if desired. Shake out herbs when you are ready to reuse the bag. Have 2 to 4 cups a day until you reach the lactation supply you need, then a cup or two a day will help to maintain it. When working to increase milk supply, it is important to nurse frequently. Makes approximately 75 cups.
