Yes it did the trick with my drill attached.
So we have a 25’ but our kitchen sink still was not going down right so we used this 50’ and it did the trick… i am glad it did because the next step would have been the 100’ but from the main trap, and frankly i don’t even know where the main clean out is or if we even have one… so for now it worked! Thank goodness

Effective Auto Feed – Blemished
I find this auger from MEISTERFAKTUR to be the perfect length and coil diameter for most home plumbing clogs. It exhibits enough rigidity to keep going forward, yet enough flexibility to push around corners and joints. The self feed is nice and slow so that the snake has a chance to find a path along the pipes as it slowly dispenses out of the rotating drum. If progress stalls, a convenient flip of the lever at the nose of the tool allows a pause in the feed and lets you manually retract or extend the auger as needed. The 50-foot version I received is rather heavy to hold in one hand, so adding a drill motor as a secondary handle is beneficial, but you must be careful to limit the rotational speed so you can stop quickly in case the auger jams in the plumbing. It’s easy to want to hurry and go full speed, but if there’s a jam, the plastic drill drive adapter might break. The unit I received had its drum fastening screws overtightened during assembly, causing the two halves of the housing to be pushed to overlapping, which put a small crack in the plastic, but it works fine. I loosened the screws and realigned the housings in a few minutes.Lastly, the unit arrived inside the Amazon cardboard box in nothing but a canvass bag. It would be great if the unit came with a storage box, or at least factory packed in a cardboard box with some padding or bracing considering how heavy it is, to avoid shipping damage.

Super awesome heavy duty!
We were so please with how effective this was. We have an older home that we have done major upgrades to, some of which we have done ourselves, however we have a mother-in-law unit that occasionally will have a slow bathtub drain. Although we (or rather I) have used store brand items for clogs, nothing seemed to work…. until now. My husband and son were a bit too exuberant to use this, but it got the job done. We did use a drill as it was suggested in the video, instead of wearing out out arms attempting to hand crank this, and it worked so incredibly well to clear all the (ick) gunk that was blocking the drain. This was super easy to use (as stood and watched while my husband and son happily operated this) but it saved us quite a bit of money by doing this ourselves. There were also instructions on the device itself (on a cardboard circle attached to the drain) however again, operating it was simple and the snake portion was long enough to go deep into the drain and clear it out. I will say this was a bit heavy (in my opinion) however that is to be expected. I think this is an excellent investment for any homeowner as eventually we all will deal with a clogged drain, and for those of you who don’t want to pour toxic chemicals down the drain (along with your money if they don’t do a complete job of clearing your drain), then this is definitely something you need to have in your arsenal of tools for your home. This also comes with a handy (and seemingly durable) storage bag so you can keep it free of dust until you need it again. This is well worth the money and definitely worth the investment.

Practical way to unclog drains, beats liquid cleaning solutions.
I seldom have good luck clearing drains with drain cleaning solutions, in my opinion they are a waste of money and they do little to clear clogs. Mechanical cleaners works faster and much better. I have a hand spun unit, which works great, but wanted to upgrade to a powered version.First of all, the unit is heavy, but this is mainly because it's a 50 ft length. I decided to go for the 50' since my existing one is 25'. If you don't believe you will be needing the extra length, save yourself the extra weight and go for the smaller 35ft version. The unit works as expected, and to be able to use the drill to power it it's a game changer compared to the manual versions (or using this product manually, which has the option). It fed thru the P trap on the sink without any issues. Overall, it's a good well built product.

It's so easy even a prehistoric DIYer can use it
The last time our kitchen drain backed up I had a plumber out, he had a similar drain snake and charged me almost 5 times for the visit. I made a note to get one myself and couldn't wait to try the MEISTERFAKTUR drain snake when it arrived (the drain is still draining, albeit a little slow). I watched the video, found the under sink opening and went to town. In operation it is similar to the plumber's except it has an auto feed / retraction function instead of having to manually do so, this certainly made it easier to operate. And while you can use the hand crank, it's just so much easier with a drill. The end result is the same as if I had hired a plumber, while I'm pretty sure they can do it faster and maybe better, even just using it the one time has more than paid for itself. The outer housing is made entirely of hard plastic so I don't know how well that will hold up when used with a drill, but as noted earlier it easily paid for itself.

Impressed
Used this to clean out our bathroom sinks - the 50' 1/4" drain snake. It was plenty long and bends easily in the tight curves of the pipe. For home use it is nice quality and the storage bag is a plus. The only complaint is that is it a bit heavy, but reasonable for the length. Used it with a drill and it did the trick. Finding it to be a nice drain snake for those times when you need one.
