MoJack MJ-PRO 00145 Commercial ZTR & Rider Mower Lift Jack, 750lb Capacity

I won 100 dollars in an online sweepstakes 5 years ago and purchased this lift for my JD tractor style mower. I was tired of taking the "quick disconnect" deck off and turning it over to sharpen blades. It took way too long to sharpen and change blades. This lift was easy to set up and worked great. I could now get to the underside of the deck and swap the dull blades for a sharpened set in just a few minutes. You still have to lay down on the floor to get to the underside but there is plenty of room to get to everything. I have since stepped up to a commercial zero turn JD and it is much larger but the majority of the weight is in the back of the mower so it's not too heavy for this lift. I like the safety features of the MoJack, the tires have straps that you can cinch down onto the front wheels to keep it from slipping and the lift part has a sturdy strap and large teeth to keep the lift from dropping. I wanted to use this before I reviewed it and then I forgot to do the review. Usually I would not worry about doing a review but this product has been a big help to me and I wanted to let other people know about my experience. Now that I have used it heavily the only issue that I have found is that when lowering the mower the lift does not move as smooth as it once did but it is not a big deal. I have never felt unsafe using this even while trying to get a stubborn blade bolt to break loose. The front tires fit down into the wheel holders and I don't know if you could make them come out even if you tried. One last note: When I first received the lift, the box it was packed in had had a rough ride in the UPS truck or somewhere in between. it had some holes in the box and when I removed all the parts I was missing a pin. Luckily it was not integral to the use of the lift. I e-mailed MoJack and got a quick response. The lady simply wanted to know where to mail the part and it was shipped, at no charge, to me. I received it in a couple of days. I enjoy purchasing from a company that stands behind it's products and I have recommended this jack to anyone who complains about changing lawn mower blades.

We received our MoJack 750 pound a week ago and are very happy with it so far. It assembled easily, with all the parts included, as expected, and is easy and safe to use. It is sturdily built, has proper safety measures, (wheel belts and safety lift lock) and is exactly what my husband has needed to service our three lawn tractors more easily. He's kicking himself for not finding and buying one sooner. Before ordering, I looked at other manufacturers and MoJack looked to be the most heavily built in this price range, which we definitely needed with our lawn tractors. Most pictures are of zero turn mowers, which have less weight in the front, so I included some we took of our largest mower on the lift. My husband commented that the wheel base was almost too wide for the lift, with only an inch or two to spare, and that he was glad that it included the security belts that hold the tires in the saddles. This said, do make sure that your mower will safely fit before ordering. He used his drill to lift the mowers, which he said worked well. Our lift was delivered UPS in a large box weighing 125 pounds. It was securely strapped but was still HEAVY, so you'll likely need an appliance cart or strong friend to help move it. We bought ours from Amazon Services LLC., and I do believe different suppliers might be the reason sometimes for poor customer satisfaction. Amazon has always made things right with me through the years if something is wrong with my purchase. If I have any more to add as time passes, I will update my review. Recommend! Edit- My husband has used this many times through the summer mowing season and is very happy with it's performance and safe, ease of use. He's very happy that we purchased this!

I purchased my MOJACK PRO through Amazon at the end of July 2011. Amazon has good prices and I love the free shipping option. It arrived in August and had a defective wheel pad. I called the company customer service. Wow! You get to talk to a real person who knows and cares about his product and good customer service. He registered my warranty info over the phone and sent the replacement part the same day, no questions asked. What a pleasure. Replacement part worked perfectly as does the lift itself. I have a John Deere X320 with 48 inch deck. The Mojack Pro lifts it easily and securely. I wanted a mower jack because I have severe arthritis and a very bad back. It would take me 3 hours or more to drop the deck, clean it, change out the blades and reinstall. Then the pain from the arthritis would put me in bed for the next two days. Now, from the time I start setting up the Mojack Pro to the time I have put it back up is around 45 minutes and I still feel well enough to cut the grass or do something else. This lift is easy to use and saves me time and energy. The only problem I have is folding/unfolding the lift and I think that will get easier with practice. Have used the lift 3 times in the 2 months since purchase. If it hadn't been a drought would use it more. I cut 3 acres on rocky ground, so I need to change out and sharpen the blades regularly. I had been avoiding that task due to my health. Now I can keep my machine serviced and the blades in good order. This lift is worth every penny and the makers stand behind their product with excellent customer service. They also have their own website that has excellent demo videos if you are researching this type of product and want to see it in action. Maximum rating in whatever system you want to use. Others have discussed the various features of the Mojack Pro; so I will not do that here. I will say that mine was shipped as a box within a box. Each box was also nylon strapped. Though heavy (I used a two wheel dolly), there was no damage due to shipping. The small parts (bolts, nuts, etc.) were plastic sealed against a thick paper backing with descriptions for each of the small components. This was excellent and the instructions were also excellent. My only, but significant problem, came when placing the vertical tower into the base. The initial placement was easy as there is a spring-loaded tower locking pin on the base that will initially lock the vertical tower in place. It is then to be bolted to the base with an additional large Cap Screw (bolt) and Nylon Nut. As I began to run the bolt through the base and vertical tower, the bolt would not pass through the other side of the base. Here is where I noticed a major quality control problem. The hole on the base that was to receive the bolt was out of alignment with the hole in the vertical tower. What is bewildering it that someone at the factory had discovered the problem and attempted to open the hole further with some crude file or perhaps a groove bit in a pneumatic wrench. While all the other holes were nicely covered in black paint, this one was all chewed up with the bear metal exposed. So on the one hand someone at the factory caught the fact that there was an alignment issue, but then failed to resolve the problem so that the Cap Screw could actually pass through. It was still so bad that had I tried to hammer the bolt home, I would have literally stripped the bolt threads clean and made it completely impossible to attach the nylon nut. Question: Why would someone, who obviously found the problem, still let it go out in this condition? I remedied the issue by using a Dremel and a conical grinding stone and spent an additional thirty minutes to grind the hole open further and smoothed out the gouges while I was at it. The Cap Screw then passed through easily and I attached Nylon Nut. The rest of the installation went smoothly and although I have not actually lifted my zero turn yet, I did give the lift an unloaded dry run and it appeared to work smoothly. Should I actually have a problem I will update that fact here. I believe I will really enjoy using the MoJack Pro and I would love to have rated it 5 stars, but that would have required an assembly that did not require me to fix the company's own failure at producing a product without defect.

Bought this for my Ferris ISX3300 72" zero turn that weighs 1720 pounds. Weight of this mower is distributed 40/60 so I purchased the 750-pound jack. Tried it out today and it is solid and safe for me. Plenty of room to get under the deck for cleaning and blade changing. It comes with both a hand crank and a fitting to attach a 1/2" cordless drill. It takes some effort to use the hand crank but using e cordless drill is effortless. Pretty amazing how fast, safe, and easy it is to lift that much weight.

Assembly is a chore but the sturdiness requires more mass in all of it's features. It features a sturdy pawl latch with high density lifting strap. It's positive latching mechanism ensures that my zero turn stays where it needs to be. You will need to purchase a separate set of wheel chocks to ensure equipment rolling. Quick pin adjustments makes it versatile for all models and quick break down for storage.

Lift arrived from Amazon two days after ordering (Prime member). MoJack did a good job of the inner packaging, and assembly was fast (under an hour) and very straightforward (hardware is metric). My unit is the 750 pound-lift model. We have four acres of lawn, and our commercial ZTR mower has a 60" deck, and the mower itself weighs 1,175 pounds, fueled, and ready to run. Driving onto the wheel pads proved a bit of a challenge, since the front deck roller did not clear the unit's base arm. I could have raised the mower deck an inch or so, but chose to put two short lengths of 2" X 12" board on the machine shed floor, to serve as a small ramp. With that done, driving the tractor onto the unit was simple, as was the winching and other features of the MoJack. With our mower in the elevated position, we then cleaned the underside of our three-blade mower deck. Wow, what a difference! Much easier than the automotive ramps we previously used, and a greater height, too. Very easy to clean the deck, drop the blades, etc. The MoJack is very well made and built to last. With 500 or more pounds hanging above our bodies when my wife and I clean the deck, I have never felt safer. I have high confidence that the unit will continue to perform as designed.

You do need at least a little mechanical ability to put this bad boy together. But if you're the sort that's going to be servicing your own lawnmower, that's probably not going to be a problem anyway. And the assembly instructions are very thorough. Only one piece was missing when I inventoried all the components in the box -- a small washer, which I could easily replace. I put it together and it worked great!! Width of the wheel pads are very easy to adjust, wheel safety straps are mind-comforting and easy to use. The one complaint I have about this item is that I had great difficulty getting it to fold up after I was done. It's kinda involved anyway, since you have to remove the wheel pads, lifting arm inserts, and the lifting arm itself before you can fold it. After I did that, I was supposed to be able to lift up on the tower and fold it forward onto the base. But it was stuck. It turns out that I had tightened the bolt & nut connecting the tower and base too tight. I guess you don't need to tighten that stuff very well, since the nuts have nylon on the threads to keep them from moving easily. Wherever you put them on the bolt, they'll stay there. But even after I loosened the nut, it was still difficult to lift the tower out of the base so I could fold it forward. But since I bought this for use in my mower repair shop (that's why I bought the biggest MoJack model; so I can handle anything that comes my way) and plan to use it often, I probably don't need to be folding it and putting it away. I should just leave it out, since I plan to use it often for all different kinds of mowers. I've only used it a couple times up to this point, but I'd recommend it. It works well. ******************************************************************************************************************************* Ok, this part of the review is a few weeks after the first part shown above. I downgraded the MoJack from 4 stars to 3 because in only about 6 weeks' time, the crank suddenly became extremely difficult to use and it eventually seized up completely. The problem was in the cranking mechanism itself, underneath the bolted-on cover at the base of the crank arm (this part comes already assembled). It seems that this MoJack was assembled without any lubrication. I couldn't really get the cover off, but I was able to work some oil in there anyway, and that fixed the problem. I also notice how much quieter it operates now. I don't know if all MoJacks are put together this way or if they just forgot to put some grease in mine, but I'm a little disappointed in the workmanship. This paragraph was written on May 1, 2012, and I'll add more if something else goes wrong.
