Loved the length and width of the board. It also has a good sliding mechanism to open and close. As opposed to my old board this board can be opened to a lower height making it more comfortable and efficient to use, I use mine at below waist height and it's great because I have back issues and arthritis it makes such a difference not having to lift my arms up higher and it's easier on my back. Very sturdy and with a good board cover. Would highly recommend!

After my last one from Asda died on me, I searched high and low for a decent sturdy ironing board., This is rather large, but really well built and robust. Not the cheapest, but much better than the last ones which were flimsy and wobbled. Great German technology. A superb ironing board which will help you iron sheets and larger items. It looks good, too, but that is secondary to its sturdiness.

The first one was delivered with two “feet” missing. Not surprising as the boards are just wrapped in plastic and of course the most wear in storage and transit is on its feet. I asked Vileda to just send me the two feet but they couldn’t do this - they had to replace the whole unit. (Of course without feet the board would be unbalanced and would scratch my floor) So had to wait for it to be picked up - and then again for the new one to be delivered - altogether 2 weeks from start to finish. The replacement ironing board is great - light, smooth functioning and easy to fold but I probably wouldn’t order one online again with Vileda due to the time scale

Bought as a gift for my daughter, along with a steam iron, which I thought was a good idea. I'm pretty sure it's only been used about three times and one of them was me! I don't know why I bothered. But, I reckon they are good enough for a starter home so 7/10 from me.

Very sturdy, goes pretty high, I’m 6’2” and this is easily Hugh enough for me to iron a weeks worth of shirts with crouching over. Lightweight enough for the wife to move about too.

Bought as a present. Very sturdy and a good size, especially useful when ironing trousers. Recipient of present was delighted, but I was concerned as the first one was damaged in transit and had to be returned. However it was collected and replaced with no problem, just a pity that the gift date had to be delayed. Had the ironing surface been protected by something more rigid than plastic wrapping, I think that the damage would have been avoided.

After the first board came damaged Amazon with its usual efficiency sent a replacement a few day later.The board itself is good quality nice and sturdy with very good height adjustment so tall or short are well catered for.Value is good compared to the market leaders.Overall very happy with the purchase and should give many years of service.
