Great curry paste
Great curry paste for making thai massaman curry, very flavourful and nice smell. Will last long in the fridge too once opened. Good amount for the price as you only need a bit of it to make a whole curry. It's not spicy at all unless you put alot of the curry paste. Delivery came abit later then expected, but came within 5 days, so overall 5 stars. Thank you.

Very good, concentrated paste. Delicious Thai curry without all that endless prep.
I live out in the boonies and no chance of getting anything like this in the shops - Sainsbury's sell a Massaman paste, but it's nowhere near as good as this. This is a concentrated, dry paste to fry gently first, before adding coconut milk, meat (I use chicken), diced spud, onion, peanuts and tamarind. Product comes in a sealed poly bag inside the carton. Dead easy to cut a corner off the bag, squeeze out a couple of 'fingers' of this paste and shut the bag back in the carton. It's delicious. Not a belter of a Thai curry. I think its fairly mild, full of flavour and the balance of flavours is good - although I have to say, I think it is a bit salt, and needs balancing out with a bit of sugar, and it does need the tamarind. If the balance between hot and salt had been a bit better, then this paste wouldn't have lost a star. I like a dollop of peanut butter added to the sauce while it's cooking and a handful of raw cashews. That probably gives me a totally different Thai dish, but who cares. It's heavenly and so easy to make.

Delicious paste to make Massaman coconut chicken curry
Lovely flavour. I used it on a whole chicken and in the sauce for a Massaman coconut chicken curry, it doesn’t really have any heat, but that’s the point, it’s flavour first. The only advice I would give is if you use salt and pepper to season your chicken prior to cooking then you can probably leave the the salt out or reduce the amount you would use by two thirds as the paste seems to have quite a high salt content.

This is GREAT! Thankyou Massaman!
Had to find a substitute as my local store took the one they offered, off the shelf and I got fed up mixing 21 spices to form a good paste. This is GREAT! Massaman lamb shoulder and potatoes with sticky rice. Had it twice and have enough sauce left over do a chicken one tonight. Easy to use. Doh forgot the crushed peanuts on top! Take two, did a pork massaman with potatoes and green beans. Fried onions, par boiled the spuds a few mins before, I used 75g of paste for a deeper flavour, and a tad of water on a lower heat to make sure I didn’t burn the spices, pork in, coconut milk in, spuds, beans and extra coconut cream, palm or brown sugar to give extra sweetness if you want, and voila! The temple of massaman! Jasmine rice and a shovel also required. If you want heat, use chilli oil to your tastebuds, mine tend to be hot. And don’t forget the peanuts on top!! The last photo is beef brisket. Just purchased my second tub, let you know….

Authentic curry paste
This is an authentic paste and has a great taste. I tend the use it for a Prawn , monkfish & pineapple curry. In my opinion it’s better than the supermarket curry pastes

This is superb. Very flavorful, makes a massaman curry identical to your favorite Thai restaurant. Not spicy at all which makes it work for everybody and us spice lovers can just add cayenne to our serving, or finely dice a serrano chili and add to the paste when you bloom it to get to a moderate spice level for the entire pot.

This is what they use in my local Thai restaurant, and I enjoy everything about the place except the prices. So I got some, and a good recipe, and made a darn good copy! Unlike a lot of canned curry paste, it's not overly salty.
