Perfect for Taiyaki
This is the perfect for Taiyaki, and can be frozen for use later. It's also great spread on toast. Sweet and just the right texture.

Yummy
Red bean paste is so yummy. I can’t believe I’d never had it until a couple years ago in sesame balls from a restaurant. It’s a delightful treat. I made sticky rice cakes with this as the filling and it worked perfectly. Good, smooth consistency. I do find it a little too sweet, but I don’t think it would be overkill for most people because I don’t eat much sugar at all. I would try freezing the left over portion next time. I’ve seen some say it works, but haven’t tried it and I didn’t use more than half the bag. Try it and enjoy!

None of the stores carry this in Carson City, NV but Amazon came through as always!

Good but
Great product for making mochi at home if you can’t find it locally. But price is about twice what you’d pay at an Asian market though.

Perfect for hotteok!
I ordered this to make some hotteok for my family's Thanksgiving meals. This worked perfectly as is - I saw some people recommended or even telling people you *need* to add lard - I did not and this worked perfectly as intended. I saw the price has gone up a bit from the ~$4 I paid for it, so this might be a case of dynamic Amazon pricing. I put 5* for value at the price I paid, but it's a far worse value proposition at ~$6+. If you have Asian markets in your city, I would check those first.

Delicious authentic red bean paste.
I love red bean paste, but can no longer find the canned variety. All the markets have now are "mashed" not paste, or have water chestnuts in it, or just plain whole red beans. I don't want to spend time and trouble to try to make paste from scratch. But this product is really quite good, and is just red beans, sugar, and enough water to process. Perfect. Can be used for anything it is usually purposed for, but being from the South, I use the stuff like it was Asian apple butter. Meaning, I butter some toast and spread the red bean paste on it like you would use apple butter. Yum. Also, the product arrived much faster than estimated. The only thing I would improve would be to can this, instead of a plastic bag. But I will definitely buy again.

I loved it!
Delicious! And I think the price was very good (maybe I was lucky to get it at around $15) for the amount and the consideration that its a rare import food. I didn't like the package because squeezing the paste out of the hole I cut caused the labels to get wet and come off and could fall into the food, so I cut open the package and scooped it all out and put it in a container. But despite that I still want to give it 5 stars, I loved it so much and I used it in so many ways to finally eat so many Japanese things I always wanted to eat like botamochi or ohagi. I wish this was made more readily available all the time, I'd buy a packet every few months (the first one has lasted me nearly 2 months already, might last 3 months once it's done).

Very good but easy to find cheaper options
The product tastes very good and is of good quality, but check if you can find it in a local store, it's worth about half the price. Also, the recipe is pretty easy, I will make it myself next time (3 ingredients).
