LOETAD Cat Litter Mat, Cat Feeding Mat Waterproof Foldable Double Layer Honeycomb Design

Before buying this I was using a doormat as a litter mat. The idea was to trap litter in the bristles of it so it didn't spread everywhere. Didn't work very well!So I upgraded to this litter mat. It traps the litter nicely and I like that I can tip the litter out and hoover it easily. And contrary to some other reviews, it is not too big but just about right for an adult cats litter tray. I'm not sure how it compares to other similar products on the market but I'm happy with the item!

It's a great size, and such a good idea. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that I find it a bit too bulky to empty effectively as the openings are in the middle which is a bit awkward for me.When we use the very small granule litter it's fantastic, however the larger and lighter granules don't get caught quite as well. Or I just have very messy cats!On the whole I think it's a very good product and easy to clean which is important.Delivery was very quick considering I didn't use Prime.(Be warned, it does arrive in a massive box)

Love this. Traps so much litter. Cat loves to pluck on it too like it’s a scratcher and it still doesn’t damage. Downside anything that gets on there like wet and dries on is hard to get out the cells. My cat unfortunately tossed his cookies on it and now a section is crusty as I didn’t see it til morning. Thinking of trying to soak it and trying to use a pipe cleaner? Hose spray didn’t work. I think if you cat ever accidentally went on the mat it would be difficult to clean. For normal litter it cleans very easily. Works with crystals and all other types of litter so far.

I had the mat infront of the litter tray where my kitten walks out and there were still paw prints of sawdust past the mat so it caught some but not as much as I would have liked and it would have been better if it opened from the end and not the middle

Great mat and size, does exactly as described.Would recommend using a fine grade litter with it but it’s been oh so welcome in my room!I used to have to clean my kitten litter 2/3 times a day but now I can get away with once a day and I don’t have to do the area around the litter box thanks to this purchase!It’s made life so much easier!Arrived exactly when expected, would recommend.

I wish I had known about this mat a long time ago. I use Almo Nature cat litter, which is absolutely brilliant but it is a very fine sand and my dear cat sprays it all over the place even in her hooded cat litter box. This mat has mostly solved that problem. She still treads some on to the hallway carpet but not nearly as much as before.I like the size of the mat and it can fold to make it smaller if you wish. For me, it is big to cover a large area but not obtrusively big in the small bathroom.I would have given it 4 1/2 stars but couldn't, so one star has come off because 'emptying' the mat of the caught sand is not so easy. I managed to spray it all over the bathroom floor, so purpose defeated! However, I think that was mostly human error and not the fault of the mat. I shall be more careful next time of 1) lifting it up and folding it in half to pour out the caught litter (what goes in easily comes out easily) and 2) pouring out the contents over the cat's litter box. It didn't really 'pour' out (the fine sand stuck to the inside), so I whacked it and, of course, sprayed litter all over the floor again! . So it might work even better with a slightly larger guage litter but not too big that the pebbles won't fit through the hexagonal holes.Still, I am very happy with the mat and really recommend it.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. Really surprised at how well it works. Definitely does leave the litter tray area a lot neater than before. Less brushing up/handheld hoovering. I think the cats like it too. I would highly recommend it if your (house) cats like to dig to Australia every time they go to the toilet (they live in ireland).

I really don't like this item. I have been using door mats from the pound store, which have done an okay job and clean up easily, and cost a quid.Decided to spend a bit more money in the hope of a more effective litter catcher, and this was reviewed well so thought we'd give it a try.There are problems.It's slightly out of shape, so bulges a little where the two sections meet, instead of sitting perfectly flat on the floor.Litter gets stuck in the little hexagons, so several times a day have to try and poke the litter through the holes, which is a pain and not very hygienic.Another thing which I should have considered before buying, is that because its black, it really shows the litter.I guess it does a pretty good job of catching litter, but not enough to warrant the cost.Back to the pound store I go.
