This isnt really a toy train like I was expecting. The tracks, as noted in the description are large, and stay together, but they don't power the train. The train is powered by 6 batteries. That's all fine, it's just a nonstandard 'toy train'. If you're thinking the old school train sets with metal cars and tracks, this isn't it. It's designed to just go around on the circular track around the tree, that's it. Which is why I say it's more a decoration. There's really nothing to play with for a kid - it's not really a toy in the sense of a plaything. I'm sure our grandkids will enjoy watching it go around the track, but that's it.Its also a bit larger than a typical toy train.Tracks and train are all plastic. I think the price is way out of line for what you get. If you want a cute train that goes around the Christmas tree as atmosphere and ambience, this works even if it's expensive. If you are looking for a gift for a child, this isn't it.

Instead, it’s made of fragile plastic that couldn’t even withstand being taken out of the box without pieces breaking or falling off. The set looks and feels cheap, and it's shocking given the price point. Identical sets from other sellers are priced much lower, making this feel like a rip-off. While it does come with lights, music, and smoke, these features don’t make up for the poor build quality and exorbitant cost.
